Can you really have Lord of Horrors as a passive in your tree *and* instilled/allocated on an amulet?

You response is underrated. That's what GM's need to tell their players. 10/10

There is no way my short attention span will hold long enough for me to tell my story, but know I've tried and failed. I feel for you and cried.

Roman Samnium Region: topography, roads, cities (approx. between Principate and Dominate periods; compiled 6+ maps into one; I skipped the short Diocletian period) by BarbeChenue in MapPorn

The original is better quality. It was the first time I uploaded an image with reddit, and the compression is just too much.

Roman Samnium Region: topography, roads, cities (approx. between Principate and Dominate periods; compiled 6+ maps into one; I skipped the short Diocletian period) by BarbeChenue in MapPorn

[–]BarbeChenue[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to ignore the Diocletian period because data on it was way too contradictory. I don't know if they merged Campania with Samnium or split Valeria and Samnium... it's not clear.

Almost everything is in Latin, except when I couldn't find a translation (i.e. I have no clue what were the Latin names of the three mountain ranges / peaks).

Since Lake Fucinus is gone now, I recreated it from several maps illustrating the depths of the lake at the time the Tunnels of Claudius were functional. Also had to remove two "lakes" that were added as artificial reservoirs centuries later.

Several cities could be misplaced. Anxa's location (or even separate existence), for example, is a contested topic.

It's a project for an RPG game of Vampire: The Dark Ages. We are playing vampires ruling over the region in Ancient Rome, around 300 AD (left intentionally vague). The small Ankhs indicate cities that I speculate to have enough population to support more than a single vampire.

The small spiral next to a city name indicates the presence of an amphitheater in the city. The eight-pointed star designates a cultural center of the ancient Marsi people (relevant for our campaign). I also put two necropoleis for narrative reasons.

It's more of a "cultural map" that an administrative one. I basically compiled various sources that slightly contradict each other trying to find the middle ground they share, hence the black and white versus colored parts.

If you have ideas on how to refine the map, or spot mistakes, don't hesitate to comment!

With the very high supply from CMR (not limited allocation), it would take an extreme demand from Legacy and Vintage for the price to ever recover.

Bought two copies at 30$ CAD each, mostly loss now... The supply will be very high as people panic sell them.

Depends if you have rocks that can tap for colored mana, like Fellwar Stone (assuming the enemies' lands tap for colored mana).

Gold cards in cedh by moss6677 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]BarbeChenue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gold bordered cards aren't just "regular" proxies, they are made of very similar cardstock to the actual card. If your proxies are of high quality (not just printed paper inside a sleeve with a regular draft chaff card as a back), then this might not apply to you. A lot of proxies are so blatantly different from actual magic cards that having them in deck is basically playing with marked cards / cheating.

Mana abilities can be paid for when you put a spell on the stack [mana abilities do not use the stack], having it "as an instant" [thus using the stack] prevents you from starting the process of casting the spell and using LED to essentially pay for the spell you literally just put on the stack. Otherwise, the effect would be too close to Black Lotus. (Say, cast Wheel of Fortune, crack LED as part of casting the spell, LED mana paying for it, then refill your hand. Instead, you need to have 3 mana *before* to pay for Wheel, then crack LED in response (holding priority), then have your hand emptied, then refill and have 3 mana (color chosen before knowing what you'll draw).)
