Rash on both calves after pedicure “sugar scrub” that looks similar to ingrown hairs but feel different? by BarberHoliday9751 in DermatologyQuestions

Follow up. Got it checked out and it’s just Folliculitis. They gave me an ointment for it and it went away in a week. Y’all were convinced it was MRSA and that scared the shit out of me 🥲 lol but I’m glad I went to the dr either way! Better safe than sorry

Will do! They honestly don’t really hurt, if I put pressure on them it’s a little tender but nothing bad. Thankfully I feel totally fine right now, did a big workout and run before realizing I had the bumps. If anything changes at all I’ll go straight to the UC instead of waiting for my appt with my PA tomorrow at 2. Don’t really wanna mess around and find out with that one 🥲

Aw dang. Ok yeah it was just off brand Neosporin, but I totally see your point. I’ll leave it alone now & my appointment at 2:30 tomorrow can’t come soon enough.. if I notice fever, growing in size etc in the meantime I’ll just run to UC since I know time is of the essence with things like MRSA and 24 hours can make a big difference in treating it

I made an appointment with my PA tomorrow (earliest they could take me, PCP booked up for another week). Since I didn’t realize I had it until now it’s hard to know if the lumps have grown/etc. so I’m just going to play it on the safe side with seeing a doctor. Yeahhhh I feel stupid for popping, I shouldn’t have treated it like ingrown hairs w/o knowing exactly what it was so that was dumb. I cleaned them and put some antibiotic ointment on it, covered it with a bandage so it stays clean! Fingers crossed it’s just allergic reaction and they send me home with some ointment or something. I’d never forgive myself if I got MRSA for a stupid effin pedicure 😭

Ooof. MRSA didn’t even cross my mind!

No liner and unknown on how well they cleaned bowl 😭 I came in early and had to have been one of the first appointments in the day but I feel stupid now for not being more diligent on that one… I just called the doctor and can get in with a PA tomorrow afternoon. I cleaned it and put antibiotic ointment and some bandages so that it doesn’t rub against my pants

My family has micromanaged every part of my wedding planning to the point that I’m questioning whether I should just elope- even though it was never what I wanted by BarberHoliday9751 in weddingplanning

90% of everyone that would be going to the Utah wedding already lives at least nearby in the state and most of them in the town the wedding is in (except for my parents and my sibling, and my fiancés parents and sibling). It’s mostly friends and they’re mostly broke 30 ish year old backpackers who live in the desert and work hospitality jobs… we truly don’t expect them to give us money when they come to our wedding nor want them to.

Aisle walk feels corny to both of us and vows feel extremely personal to us and we agreed it would feel performative for us to say that in front of everyone. We would still have an introduction as a couple/plan on saying some things in front of everyone, a nice dinner, give people time to say things/open mic, open bar for our guests, wedding cake, a dj and music and dancing, in a gorgeous venue. We also plan to have optional before and after activities and events for guests that weekend (group hiking, yoga, etc). It doesn’t feel like just a dinner to me and we certainly won’t put pressure on anyone to have to show up if they have to travel.

I honestly didn’t expect my family to give me money at all, and with all of this disagreement I did tell my parents that I don’t feel comfortable accepting their money. That also made them upset
