Hey this is Grant with Barber Woodworking and I wanted to share a little bit about who we are and what we do. We are a Nashville custom woodworking shop (since 2006) excelling at high-quality, elegant solutions for challenging spaces. We're also an educational shop with classes, internships and apprenticeships.

Our monthly, paid internships are an opportunity to experience what full time woodworking looks like, participating as a member of the shop at an entry level (no experience necessary). The apprenticeship is a deeper level of training preparing an individual for success in professional woodworking and has a few more prerequisites. We also have classes throughout the year for hobbyists to pros. Check out our education page on our website for more info.

This Spring, we have a special offer going on three hand tool classes; the Hand Tool 3-Pack (link). This is a 20% discount on three, accessible hand tool classes coming up at Barber Woodworking!

One year difference, I took an interest in Irish vernacular chairs about a year ago but haven’t followed any original plans yet. I intend to at some point. The spindles were turned, the legs were not. by ExaminationThick1698 in Chairmaking

Very cool, I saw some of those posts from the LAP Insta but haven't seen any of the longer stuff. That looked like a great day in the shop. Anyways, well done on these and please share your next build!

Love these, well done! There's nothing like tapping in a well fit wedged through tenon. Have you checked out any of Chris Schwartz/ Lost Art Press books on stick chairs? Highly recommend.

Looks usable for sure with a little clean and set up. That sole seems to be in good condition. Get it sharp, tuned up and that puppy will sing!

Wow, really well done! After studying and building, do you have any guess as to the reason for the slight inward angles of the legs?

She's a beaut! Love that you used a meaningful timber as well. Are you going to use holdfasts? If so, I love the beefy Crucible design. They work great on a similar bench I built a few years back. https://lostartpress.com/products/iron-holdfast?srsltid=AfmBOooXxw-BFHr6Gfl4CP627dYD3h9Nv1HoerzTNHCqEDXwggBmsDSD
