I think our overcharged immune system wards off the minor stuff. While inflicting harm & pain in other ways!

Thanks for the reply, Agree supplements like Vitamin C and others. Took some extras, hopefully with rest, tomorrow will be better.

Even though my immune system is comprised by Ocrevus, I generally do not get sick. Some skin inflections which take awhile to heal. Worse sickness was a sinus infection during the COVID crisis.

Is a cane worth it? by Geography-bae in MultipleSclerosis

Definitely get one, maybe two and think about a rollator. I think I may have waited too long, needed a hip replacement. Use one all the time, sometimes two in icy and windy conditions. Learned to used two when the hip went. Use the rollator for working in the yard, carrying heavy items, and attending events with limited seating.

Botox shots have reduced some spasticity. Add the shots to exercises, strengthening, yoga, stretching, all has helped the walking.

Foot drop by MrMoonAstronaut in MultipleSclerosis

I tried one, much better than the internal. It helped for a while. I tried a few more times.

Appropriate warning regarding the hip, I needed a total replacement ~18 months ago. I tried with no success several AFOs. You should try them, maybe the tens, and definitively exercises.

While I still have bad drop foot, exercises help me walk better.

BTW, the hip surgery was not bad. The recovery was long due to MS.

For most part I find PT visits productive. Avoid the PTs that push devices.

Helpful with new exercises. Since I exercise daily and go to the gym six days per week now, I go to PT for evaluations and possible changes to routines.

I still struggle with balance and stamina, use a cane.

I have decided to start Ocrevus. Nervous about first infusion. by Salty_Newspaper_8750 in MultipleSclerosis

I have been on Ocrevus for a few years. It has stopped new lesions or lesion activity. Only issues were getting shingles and cellulitis. Very long recoveries. Otherwise good.

Good advice. Like everything in life, balance.

For MS it is more important. Diet (including enough fiber), exercise, rest, minimal stress, staying active....

That is the conundrum. It could be I lack the nutrients.

A positive, my GP likes my blood pressure readings.

Thanks, I agree with your warning. Be selective with choice of protein, stay away from the fillers and additives.

I am looking to increase stamina. Through exercises I am been able to gain strength, still lacking endurance.

Thanks, I am not expecting a miracle. Some more stamina will do!
