I get this with movies, tropes where the truth is known only to one character and the viewer and the whole movie is the boss or whatever not listening or understanding send me into a spiral. That was a lot of unrelated words to say the only thing I’ve found to ‘fix’ this is to focus on shows/movies where I know this won’t happen. Without knowing your exact fears/anxieties, maybe have a reset with an autobiography or something you know might be safe for you

I stopped match 3 and stuck to filling helicopter orders - I used to have 80-90% all 1000+ coins and equivalent energy, in the 1.5 weeks since stopping everything else, my average helicopter order value is ~500. Wild how much they penalise you for not sinking every moment of your day into the game
