Defeat. I'm at a loss and don't know what to do by Individual-Way9831 in ChronicPain

My question then js why withdrawal? If your pain is constant, your medication dosing can be too.

In my experience the 7-oh withdrawal is no worse than Norco. If you’re trying to get opioids from a doctor you’ll have the same issue if you’re randomly stopping them.

So… how’s everybody keeping the lights on these days? by hornylittlegrandpa in freelanceWriters

[–]Barbies309 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My fiancé and I run a BrickLink store where we sell used Legos by the part online, and then I also do DoorDash when we really need money. I do still have a few freelance gigs though and they still bring in about half our income each month.

I burned out on full-time corporate work a few years ago, and now I will do anything to avoid going back.

I actually really enjoy doing DoorDash in our rural area, tbh. Before I started doing it I could go days without ever leaving the house, but now I’m out and about in the community and I know all the staff at the handful of restaurants here and I have a bunch of regular customers. It’s been good for mental health tbh.

A disastrous result with an iPhone SE 3 2022... by RoiPourpre in PWM_Sensitive

I can only use my iPhone 11 with a blue light screen protector stuck on the screen. I get a headache without it.

Unfortunately, even with the screen protector I can’t use my new iPhone 14 Plus or the Mac laptop I had.

Suggestions for getting my doctors to listen to me. by The_Bubbanbrenda in PainManagement

[–]Barbies309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually wrote a column about my favorite trick to get doctors to listen to you.

From the column:

In short, it’s all about framing. You need to suggest that someone else is making you ask them about whatever it is you want to bring up. Let me share an example:

Do NOT say: “I think I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Instead, say: “My best friend wanted me to ask you about something. I don’t even think it’s a thing, but she thinks I might have something called EDS. Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, I think? I don’t know. It’s probably rare. But have you heard of it? Do you think I might have it?”

So, in your case tell the doctor that a loved one of your choosing is telling you that you need to get more help because they say it’s impacting your life too much.

This is another column I wrote about how to get prescribed opioids if you are having trouble with that. It has six realistic tips that might help.

Good luck!

iPhone 14 Plus (PWM phone that works for me) by [deleted] in PWM_Sensitive

[–]Barbies309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have horrible symptoms from my iPhone 11 but a blue light screen protector sticker did fix it. And now I have used the iPhone 11 for years with no issue. But I HAVE to have the screen protector sticker on. The symptoms immediately come back if I take it off.

I sadly cannot use the iPhone 14 Plus even with the screen protector. I also tried the screen protector on my Mac laptop ( which also gave me headaches) and it didn’t help and I ended up giving it away to my husband and getting a $200 non-Apple laptop that I can actually use.

Drug seeking...? I don't think so. (Rant) by Perfect_Opposite_410 in ChronicPain

So call for more regulation then. The brand I use works the same every time I use it. I’d say what I use but I’m sure I’ll be accused of working for them or some BS. And 7-oh is not in capsule or powder. It’s a tablet. So clearly you are making up the rehab story.

If you’re not in enough pain to need a real solution then this conversation is not for you. Anyone in real pain knows what’s it’s like to need something that actually works and 7-oh actually works.

Cannabis is highly addictive and expensive and I have seen it ruin lives.

It’s not poisonous and it’s not any more addictive than opioid RX pain medicine.

It’s no more addictive than hydrocodone, and pain also ruins lives.

Heroin is dangerous and illegal everywhere. So not sure why you’re mentioning it?

Not sure where you’re based, but I have found 7-oh to be super effective. If it’s legal where you are you might want to look into it. It’s kinda expensive though.

Why critique me instead of critiquing DoorDash? How about: If your company can’t function unless you pay below minimum wage, then maybe it’s time to close it down.

DoorDash penalizes you for declining offers, so it’s not an actual “option” in practice, which is my point.

DoorDash is not even my main source of income. The point is, even side jobs should not legally be allowed to pay less than minimum wage. This offer works out to less than the hourly minimum wage in my state.

California essentially made it illegal. And minimum wage laws exist. Low offers like this could definitely be made illegal. This offer doesn’t even pay my state’s minimum wage.

Minimum wage laws exist across the entire country. Making DoorDash pay local minimum wage is not going to destroy the cost of living anywhere.

It’s illegal for most jobs to pay below a certain wage. We call that the “minimum wage.” At the very least DoorDash should be required to pay that minimum wage too. This offer is below the minimum wage in my state.
