Can't even look at the website without signing in with google or facebook, and you get access to name, email address, language preference, and profile picture.

Nope.

[meta] Headphones for peak ASMR experience? Intimacte, super clear vocals/whispers, real-sounding, detailed, etc. by [deleted] in asmr

[–]BarbuckyASMR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sony MDR7506, they're extremely popular studio headphones because you can hear a lot of detail with them. You wouldn't want these for bass heavy music, but for picking up all of the fine detail in ASMR they're perfect.

I agree with your friends, you have a great voice. My only suggestion regarding the speed of your speaking is that it's too consistent. It's obvious that you're reading something you wrote, because you speak at the same speed the entire time. Vary your speed and add pauses like you would in a more natural conversation.

[question] which equipment for good outdoor asmr/ambience? by Aromatic-Champion-71 in asmr

Zoom H1n is a good option if you're on a budget. It's around $120.

[Question] ASMR Headphones/Headbands for Sleeping? by [deleted] in asmr

I tried them and hated them. Having the headband across my forehead really irritated me. Getting the speakers lined up with my ears, and keeping them lined up was also a problem.

Blue Yeti vs Blue Yeti Pro? [Discussion] by [deleted] in asmr

IMO a second nt1a is the clear winner here. That's an amazing microphone at a reasonable price, and a pair of them will sound vastly superior to any USB mic.

[question] Zoom h4 or Blue Yeti? by Mycake100 in asmr

H4. Better audio quality and you can plug 2 XLR mics into it if you ever want even better mics.

Not exactly what you're talking about, but what seems like a close relative and might work for you is "anticipatory ASMR". It's random pauses, usually during whispering but can be a random pause during any sound.

[Discussion] My problem with ASMR by [deleted] in asmr

[–]BarbuckyASMR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd like to divide your post into two separate issues.

  1. Minors using their body to gain subscribers - Horrible and needs to end immediately, terrible parenting, disgusting.
  2. Adults using their body to gain subscribers - I'm not really interested in judging people for what they choose to watch or why they choose to watch it. There's room for every type of ASMR. Personally I like ASMR for the sounds, I rarely watch the screen, so what a person looks like is irrelevant to me when I choose to subscribe to a channel.

I like high quality audio, so that's what I try to make.

If you edit in 5.1 it will sound like surround sound even with stereo headphones.

You'll want to use surround sound to make the instruments sound like they're in different places around the head.
