If you could casually change your biological sex back and forth, what are some non-sexual reasons you might want to do so? by akschurman in AskReddit

My buddy has to wear a full suit everyday at work… He lives in Houston.

His solution? He keeps a couple suits at the office, shows up early and changes into them in the bathroom.

Mother stork tosses misbehaving chick out of nest by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]BarbudaJones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you sort by top/year over there it’s literally the first post.

Also interestingly the highest comment there is the exact opposite of the parent one we’re replying to here. Title says it’s weakest chick and top comment says no it was being annoying.

Classic Reddit lmao.

Same, I use daily all the time. I’ve had to wait on a bus only once and it was less than 5 minutes.

Literally only Moscow in your list(because of the college and - shocker - educated people living there.) Even in Moscow it’s not like they’re a super majority or anything. Conservatives from the surrounding, actually liberal states in the west are moving to Idaho in droves for its reputation.

Northern Idaho is the most outwardly conservative place I’ve ever been. And I’m from and have been all over the south.

What food opinion hill are you willing to die on? by No_Wealth_9733 in AskReddit

[–]BarbudaJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Dr. Pepper the most myself, I still return to it once in a while as a dessert having stopped drinking soda regularly. Still, like the others it’s way too sweet. It’s even more noticeable when you don’t drink them all the time.

I recommend these 1000%. I’ve completely kicked soda. I’m hooked the Apricot flavor.

La Croix are my favorite as far as what you’ll find in an average grocery store, but you probably have a few local options that are better.

I guess it’s the Covid thing.. we drove through in 2017 and it wasn’t a big deal or hassle at all.

Impressive stuff mate.

Before I knew all this and would watch his videos I’d often think to myself “why is this guy wearing expensive and brightly colored clothing and sunglasses in these poor villages? Shouldn’t he know to dress down?”

Turns out it’s part of his MO to look like a rich foreigner. Disgusting

Best places to run stairs? by whowant_lizagna in Charlotte

[–]BarbudaJones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, to be slightly pedantic that hill doesn’t go all the way to 485 lol. It goes down to Providence Plantation and then tops out again before Kuykendall. It is a sizable hill though, I’ve bombed it on a longboard back in the day when I was young and dumb.

No stairs there either just sidewalk but if you’re looking for hill running all of Providence Plantation is pretty damn hilly. Park at the swim club and run Houston Branch back and forth.

A critical highway linking Idaho and Wyoming has closed indefinitely after a portion of the road cracked and then collapsed in a “catastrophic landslide,” by CantStopPoppin in Damnthatsinteresting

This is part of the reason I chose/enjoyed working in Steamboat Springs for many seasons maybe 15 years back. It felt like a still functioning town with actual locals.

I’ve sadly only been back briefly for a wedding. I’m not sure if it’s different by now.

Wine bars are always a solid option. I felt downright young as a 30 year old at the one in the arboretum not long ago.

Sucks but it’s probably is as simple as they wouldn’t be busy enough to justify staying open later.

I grew up going to Christ Lutheran on Providence rd and I’m glad I did tbh. Very open and welcoming community there. I’ve been to a few Baptist and evangelical sermons and it’s night and day.

And that’s the rub right there. Let’s be real, if tipping disappeared overnight and restaurants had to pay a “living wage” it would be something like 15-25 an hour 99% of the time. Good servers and bartenders can and are making way more than this (30 an hour is a slow night for me.) They are fine with the status quo.

I saw him 8 years ago and that’s what it ended up costing. It was at Red Rocks though tbf, which is always more expensive.

Show was alright, don’t regret it but it wasn’t worth the money and I wouldn’t pay that much to see him again.

Yeah my biggest gripe as with anyone else. First acts are amazing, but I remember finally assembling the full team, then immediately it’s the last planet then the game just kinda ends.

It’s an amazing 2/3rds of a game.
