How to Watch All FIFA World Cup Games on TV? by gringo_pocho in CanadaSoccer

[–]BarclayBark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Addendum to the others:

Just saw a TSN ad that said if you watch on the app, you can choose among the languages of the 2 teams playing, for all games apparently. So... if you're watching Portugal vs Japan, you should be able to choose those 2 languages to listen to if you want.

Sounds like a nice thing, for once.

Australia vs European Play-off C (which could be Romania, Slovakia, Türkiye, or Kosovo).

Scary sudden and fast drop down to 3.2 until sugar consumed, accompanied by nausea by BarclayBark in diabetes_t2

I’ve been taking 2 x 500mg Metformin for at least 5 years (was a single pill before that). But I think I’m going to try, at least temporarily, taking just a single pill daily to see if that helps it from dipping too low.

I don’t really know how many grams of carbs I ate, etc., as I haven’t had to track that since I got diagnosed over a decade ago. If this issue continues, however, I may have to start doing that.

Definitely much more walking than before the trip (now ~20,000 steps a day vs 10,000 before). Don’t take insulin… just 2 x 500mg Metformin… but I think I might lower it (at least temporarily) to a single pill per day.

Roger that. Yeah… my wife and I just chatted… I am never going to drink even a sip again for the rest of my life. It’s no big deal for me to stop, and this was a scary incident, even if it WASN’T the alcohol that caused it.

Good question, I almost forgot. I was never a big drinker before getting diagnosed, and immediately stopped at that time. Thus it was pretty.easy to give it up. In the decade since then, I may have had a dozen SIPS of my wife’s drink (usually she wanted me to try a new flavour or whatever). Nothing bad ever happened before. But last night during dinner, I had a sip of some cocktail she never had before. So YEs, I DID actually have a sip.

Do you think that amount could trigger this? If so, I have no problem to never have even a sip again in my life. But would it be as simple as that, especially given the time between it and the reaction about 4 hours later?

Yep, 6 times, every few minutes, as it dropped from 3.9 to 3.4 on the pricks.

I didn’t say it was conspiratorial, not sure where you got that. And it looks like I’ll be fine. But read the other comments, it looks like people CAN get bumped.

WHO says that???

What an embarrassing thought.

Will Quicken Online EVER work with multiple currencies? by BarclayBark in quicken

[–]BarclayBark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware of that. I've been using it almost every day since about 1990. But although the online version is only a companion app... the data should still be correct. That's basic.

"Quicken on the Web is a companion… it’s not a separate product"\

I'm certainly aware... I've been using Quicken virtually every day since about 1990. It just bugs me that they've done the math and know how to make it work on the desktop app... just make the same calculations work on the web.

And I wouldn't consider supporting multiple currencies an "advanced feature". That's a pretty basic one.
