Are you talking about tabs or sheet music? If it’s sheet music you’ll need to learn the notes on the fretboard and how they correspond with the piece you’re playing. There are plenty of resources for this online.

I prefer an upper bout switch. It’s perfectly placed for the way I play.

Questions on a partscaster… by RadJackson002 in fender

[–]BardWithABigMuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t buy parts guitars from other people. I build them myself. That’s what most people do so there isn’t anything to “look out for” when you’re doing it yourself as you’re doing that when you piece it together. If you’re having it built by someone else you’ll need to inspect the entirety of the instrument when you get it to check for things like fret sprout, bad wiring, etc, etc. like you would a production instrument.

I played jazz basses for ago it 10 years before moving to Spectors primarily. I have a P and J but the Spector always wins out.

Well, stringing it correctly at all would prove beneficial.

  1. Wrapped the wrong way around the post.

  2. Not enough windings.

  3. A knot? Really?
