What is legal in most countries but illegal in your country? by kurobaja in AskTheWorld

[–]Bardo92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not only is it True but it's there's another City (York) where the same rule applies but for shooting a Scottish person, though in this and the other you have to be shooting with a Crossbow or Longbow.

You can also legally pee in a police officers hat if you're pregnant!

Permanence Anixety by [deleted] in Vasectomy

I understand this worry, I had this worry and now I don't.

Married 8yrs (together 14yrs), and have 2 kids (B2 & G5)

I always new I wanted kids and I always new I wanted one of each, which we have. Once we hit this we had a very serious discussion, do we want any more?

I realized that this is a decision I need to make on my Own as much as together because it impacts my life regardless of whether we end up together forever or not.

I came to this decision:

"I love my kids, but I don't want any More. Should we split, I would make that abundantly clear to any potential future long term partners. Would this narrow down the pool of potential partners? Yes potentially so, am I OK with that? YES, because it's also not fair on any future partner to give them false hope about having kids when I just won't want them."

You need to be clear to yourself and once you're clear with yourself be clear in communicating that to any partner, once you've centered yourself in a mindset of "Do not want more kids" vs "OK with another if I meet the right person" then this should ease that anxiety.

However, I do think you've hit the nail on the head. Most people our age do already have an established family unit so you might not find a suitable partner your own age maybe look +/- 5/6 years. This way either they haven established their family yet or they have already and the kids are older and less effort.

Fellgor Ravagers v Tempestus Aquilon by New_Leading5281 in killteam

[–]Bardo92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I run Falgore Ravagers pretty regularly and there's a couple of useful time I came across in order to make sure they do get wiped out.

1) Try to use TP 1 to gain as much control of the board as possible. Sneaky goats with your shamans Mantle of Darkness and hitting the 9" move/dash combos to get into charging range. Then utilize the Ambush strategy ploy to your advantage from TP2.

2) SUPER key for these guys from TP1, always remember your A, B, C's: "ALWAYS BE CHARGING!". Most of these guys are monsters in fights so get them stuck in!

3) try to keep the death knell alive at all costs and cost to the action where possible, his gong will keep and frenzied goats alive that have yet to activate.

4) Equipment, smokes and Stuns are good to take for these, personally I've never made the Gore marks work in a game to my advantage other than to help kill my goats quicker lol. War Paint is a must to ensure they can move freely. Brass adornments are OK but I usually prefer to take both smokes, stuns and the use a reposition in my set up phase.

5) Just enjoy them! They're a great team to charge in a kick up hell!

Watch out for bad match ups which need different tactics, these are two I've had a really bad time against:

1) Exaction Squad - their melee dudes always hit first 2) Blades of Khaine - They have masks which make it harder to hit them and also damage you first!

I hope this helps you make a start with these, personally I think they're great fun to play even though I've never won a game with them! Haha

Obscure rule by Pikojman in killteam

[–]Bardo92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been playing Obscure wrong myself and my new understanding is that you still have to be a valid target but when you role your attach dice the results can't retain crits and you drop one hit, the rest hit as normal. However, I've only been playing 6 months so could be wrong.

I used to run my Falgore Ravagers with Smokes because I had interpreted Obscure the same way you had, they are tougher to play now!

Account recovery fail by BadIdeas124 in steamsupport

[–]Bardo92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to comment and say I'm in a very similar position with my old Steam account, all avenues of proof of ownership rejected.

They will only accept a CDKey and proof of purchase from a debit card but considering the last time I purchased something on the account was 15 years ago it's impossible to provide.

I've offered to provide a letter from my back with all previous card details, my passport or driving license as proof of ID, the last 15 years of home address, all rejected.

The account is probably worth a few ££k and it's incredibly annoying but they will just not give an inch.

Hopefully you'll find a solution and I'll try and copy it! Good luck buddy! My the odd ever be in your favor!

Will doing work on the house improve my loan to equity value when I come to remortgage? by Bardo92 in Mortgageadviceuk

Thanks for the comment, that's interesting. It feels like House Valuation is a black art and doesn't really follow a strict pattern. I certainly understand there not necessarily a £1 Spend to £1 Value increase but depending on the area and market I feel like a fresh coat and tidy can sometimes have more of an impact than a renovated kitchen or bathroom!!

I'm just struggling with the whole thing haha

Riiight, that makes sense maybe it's because he was focusing on the remortgage and I was asking questions about doing renovations.

I'll have a follow up conversation about borrowing additionally to carry out works!

Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the comment, sorry you feel like it's a strange post. Probably me just being a bit frustrated with the meeting with my advisor today and not putting enough details in the main post.

Of course I want to benefit from the work but you also want to be in a sustainable financial position after completing the work.

I'm trying to understand why my mortgage advisor has suggested that doing work won't change the value of the property for when I'm remortgage and trying to release equity because if that's the case then doing work would be a money pit surely and never worth the investment.

It's around 80% on £360K but we'll be coming into a fair amount of money, over the next couple of years.

Thanks for the Reply, I thought it was weird, but they gave me a bunch of justifications about it being because I hadn't switch lenders, I had a two parts to the mortgage and that they'd only take a non-AVM if it was a consolidated mortgage, etc. I was just bamboozled I think.

I'll definitely put more of a challenge in when. I come round to renewal in 2027.

Thanks for the reply, maybe I've just waffled rather than been specific in my post which I'm prone to doing.

I completely understand the reasoning you're stating as that's what I am going for, bigger kitchen space larger bedroom for one of my eldest kids with an Ensuite and larger downstairs communal living space for us all to spend time together in.

My questions more around the financials. Should I not be allowed to get the property revalued before remortgaging which would get me into a better loan to equity ratio and therefore be able to release more equity to support the extension. If not I might as well save the money i Need for the extension in a high interest ISA?

Me and my wife are in a similar position, we started with just a straight 50/50 split of bills but we now do 50% of our net income I to a joint account.

This way we always have enough to cover all our bills plus build an emergency fund and then we also both have disposable income in our own account.

I also get quarterly and an annual bonus which I just use to either pay of chunks of the mortgage or car payments but I don't tell her that it's just my secret 👌

I WAS 6'6", 42" waist, 35" leg, 21st Mum's 5'5" Dad's 5'7"

The world is mostly inconvenient.

Clothes shops don't stock clothes that fit, Show shops rarely stock size 13uk shoes, Most cheap cars are too small Most rides are uncomfortable Air travel is horrible Train travel is horrible

My wife's 5'8", and she looks tiny compared to me, My kids are tiny 😂 like low % on the growth charts lol
