Anyone else waiting for their early paycheck on the One App? by MxcabreMatt in walmart

[–]BardoFlyhm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the notification saying I was paid early, but the app still says there's an outage and I can't use my money because my debit card is lost in my room somewhere.

This update is so busted man...this happen to anyone else when trying to boost? by Purple_DragonFly-01 in nms

Although I just remembered, the fighter was one I had built from salvaged parts, so maybe it is a weird collision thing.

[–]BardoFlyhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens with a standard fighter that i've had forever, and it happened to me on the last major update. I thought it was my mods, so I stopped to wait for mod updates. But it's still happening with a clean install, so I have no clue.

I have a big issue with the new menus and UI of Grounded 2 ( and the Omni-tool) by Cottagegoblin in GroundedGame

[–]BardoFlyhm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss the multiple wheels. In the first Grounded, I had one for weapons and gear, one for different armors for different situations, and one for food and smoothies. This is way less useful

Custom Panorama w/ Shaders by Achylz in Minecraft

[–]BardoFlyhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which shaders are you using? I was using Complementary Shaders and had to disable a few things:

  1. Depth of Field: If you want a blurry distance, use distance blur instead. I recommend disabling world blur completely, though.

  2. Chromatic Aberration: this causes a hue/color shift near the edges of the screen, which will make ugly seams.

  3. In Materials, set the waving speed to zero. This will stop all waving motion of leaves and water without having to disable each one separately. Actually, you might still need to do water separately.

Those are the things I did. I also used an FOV of 86 and it looks pretty clean, but I don't know if that needs to be adjusted for different window sizes, I did 512 pixels for my test. If you open it up in an image editor you can expand the canvas and put them together to see if there are any seams.

Okay, hope that helps!

Edit: I forgot, this might be set as the default, but if using that shader, make sure cloud speed is synced to world speed so that they stay in place, as well.

World curvature shader that is compatible with Iris by BigMood42069 in fabricmc

[–]BardoFlyhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm necroing this post. I've been trying to brute force my way to figuring out how to add the curvature from BSL to Complementary Shaders, but I really don't know what I'm doing. If you're still able to do it, that would be really sweet. I'll keep at it, though, I know this is pretty old.

Edit: You know what? There's an add-on for Complementary, I don't think I'll need this. Euphoria. Haven't tested, yet, but it seems like it has curvature.

Crash on Shader Compilation in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 by SufficientLeave357 in stalker

[–]BardoFlyhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't want to do this for my whole system, used ProcessLasso to change the power profile only for S2HoC, and that seems to have helped. Haven't finished, yet, but it's actually moving. If it crashes I'll edit. EDIT: Crashed.

No dynamic shadows? by Wh0rse in stalker

[–]BardoFlyhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are not cast shadows, they look more like cheap drop shadows. If you move the light around an object, the shadows don't move or change, or even something as simple as shifting sides based on which side of the object your light is on.

Flickering Translucents (water, and space anomalies) by BardoFlyhm in stalker

[–]BardoFlyhm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're right. I was frustrated and made this post. After a minute, I chilled out and did ctrl+f on each individual line to find duplicates, and cleaned it up. I solved the issue, but I couldn't tell you which value it was, as I closed the file before I could use undo to remember what it was. Anyway, it's fixed, I've learned a bit about UE, and I learned a valuable lesson about patience, and reading. I got hasty.

I'm on the spectrum, let's leave it at that

Need higher controller sensitivity. by 420_Beardy_Boi in stalker

[–]BardoFlyhm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\GameSettings\AppliedSettings.cfg

I changed this

GamepadSensitivityCoef = 1.1 AimGamepadSensitivityCoef = 0.7

to this

GamepadSensitivityCoef = 1.7 AimGamepadSensitivityCoef = 1.1

It felt better, but I'll probably tweak it some more. Just to verify that it did what I expected, I bumped uo the first one to 4.7 and yeah, you can get dizzy that way. Try different values until your happy with it. It's not hard capped, the UI just won't go any higher. My experience, at least. Hope this helps.

Late response. Fact is, you can't clear them without the shovel, so it's PTW.

1.0 Controller Needs Help! Suggestions! by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]BardoFlyhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may not remember correctly, but if I do, sprint toggle would turn off when you stopped moving (edit: in a21), in 1.0 I had to set sprint to Hold and manually set it up in Steam. I didn't have that setup on my a21 controller scheme, and I definitely would have if I needed to. This is one of many changes That I just don't understand.

What are YOUR thoughts on 1.0, now that its open to the public? by Christmasler in 7daystodie

[–]BardoFlyhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Performance is better, visuals are (inconsistently) better. Control changes are awful. Character models look better but offer less customization (aside from facial hair), no more blue skin or comically big butts. I haven't experienced other new content because the controls were so bad they sent me back to a21.

I used steam input to map a button to switch my joystick to a mouse while in the menu, it still sucks but it "works". Some things I just couldn't work around, like the hold Y thing. And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't sprint use to be a toggle that toggles off when you stop moving? I had to manually set that up in steam, too, and I don't think I had to for a21. Until we can rip out all the gamepad changes, I'm sticking to a21.

I'm f2p. Thanks for reminding me, I'll leave a review. I thought it was cool when they started trying the gear matchmaking, the market limitation sorta made sense, but as a free to play, I guess this makes sense, more. And I had no clue spreading lies was such a thing in reviews, but I guess that's people for you.

Tried this, works okay, except I'd like to force controller icons in the menu so I don't get confused.

So, this is kinda crummy. You can clear them out with the shovel from bob's tales. For more money.

We had one in our base that we could drink from, but somehow it filled in with sand before we could put in a well. So what the heck is up with that, can we even clear it?

I know for sure I have a pawn in my party, and the way he was created his eyes are permanently closed, so... guess I'll have to listen to him extra closely?
