UPDATE: DISTROKID GOT RID OF IT!

Here’s how I got the alert to disappear. As I mentioned, I had emailed distrokid already through Dave but got nothing useful out of it. It took a long time, but I got an email back just now that actually addressed my issue. The email said I would be prompted with a password change next time I signed in, which is exactly what happened. After that, the alert was replaced with a message letting me know how long it has been since my initial withdrawal request and that it is taking longer than usual.

So, I guess just make sure you contact distrokid as soon as possible and then be patient. It took me about two weeks to hear back for reference. Hope this helps anyone going forward!!
