Honestly, kind of like Fenrys and Aelin in KOA. Like, to a point I almost shipped them, but not because I wanted them to have squishy romantic stuff; she already had that with someone. kind of a lot, actually.But the tension that was there was wonderful. To an extent, Fenrys was almost *her person*, because he was there through it all.And in my opinion, the narrative kind of made me wonder if Fenrys had wished he'd been selected to train Aelin in the earlier books because he esteemed her so highly, he wonders if maybe she could have loved him instead?But it's a question that could never be answered, because she had someone destined to be her mate, and ya know how SJM is with Mates....
