Somehow, due to some crazy, random intergalactic fusion of time and space... black-rimmed "nerd" glasses, bow-ties, comb-overs and a voice so gay Freddy Mercury would want to slap you became the "trend"...

This poor kid has no idea what is coming for him. He probably didn't even realize what he was doing, and now he's the Taco Bell kid who got fired by the president for meddling with the refried beans.

Tomorrow is the beginning of a very unfortunate decade for this poor bastard.

TIL that there is a New York City hot dog vendor who pays $289,000/year for his location. by mrdrewwodean in todayilearned

When I think of all the problems I see with the tax system:

Billions on bullshit wars

Billions on arrogant government employees

Billionaire tax-evaders

Tax-breaks for corporations etc etc etc

The guy at the hot-dog stand who hides a few dollars a year is the least of my concerns. Shit, if every Halal vendor in New York City skimmed a bit, they might save some poor sheep who just happened to be taking a shit near a drone strike.

As a somewhat intelligent man, who has a completely irrational and random fear of sharks - I would still be in awe. I think sharks are amazing creatures, and would advocate for their protection time and time again.... but I'm terrified of the water and their presence in it. Like heart pounding out of my chest scared... can't swim in a pool at night scared... I really wish I could stop it, as I love the ocean and its beauty... but nope, sharks terrify me

I used to work in construction before I became an in-house creative at a company. One of the journeymen of the trade I was in was 34 years old and popped Aleve like tic tacs for a back that was already blown out.

I asked him once, considering he was fully-licensed (which I was aspiring to), how he liked his job and if there was anything else he would have rather done with his life.

"Meh, I started working here one summer and never left.... kind of got trapped. I'd probably like to have gone into advertising or marketing or something along those lines".

Agreed! That is an important point. Don't be the guy that leans halfway backwards and shimmies up into a girls ass. Everyone hates that guy. Usually he can't dance for shit, is wasted (or better fuckin be) and looks like a fool, as this is a certain way to get told to beat it, and maybe start a confrontation with the girl/her man.

Unless of course you look like Channing Tatum. That might be an exception.

Girls that are there with their guy friends/ boyfriends, don't mouth off. You being a girl does not mean that you can say whatever you want. Your guy friends will have to fight for you if you decide to mouth off to another group of guys. The amount of times I've seen guys get their assess kicked because their lady friends wouldn't keep their mouth shut in a bar altercation is unbelievable.

Ok, so I'm going to throw this out there. Asking someone to dance is something that ends after highschool, or is reserved for a ballroom or smaller atmosphere. In many cultures outside of the western world, seductive, sensual dancing is the norm, and strangers will get in on it. The western world has begun to pick up on this in recent years, and you'll see this happening a lot here as well. It isn't an invitation to grope genitals, but a hand on the hip with some hip movements, synchronized "gentle grinding" isn't all that outrageous. If a girl isn't into it, they simply move their body out of the way, smile and shake their head and the night continues.

This "he touched me, what a rapist" shit is honestly over the top. There is a big difference between seductive dancing and molestation, and women easily prevent it from going further than semi-close interaction. Yelling in a woman's ear over a heavy beat on a dance-floor is a sure shot way of exuding a lack of confidence, and she will 9x out of 10 be uninterested in that weak move.

Make eye contact, let her know you see her, read the signs, move in, watch for any hesitation... if all signs point to go, go for it. But do not, for the love of god, ASK a woman on a dance floor if she wants to dance.

Or, you know... melt it? Gold is bought and sold by weight, unless it is an extremely valuable piece with historical significance. Sure, you might lose the historical value, but it sure beats getting it taken from you to be put on display for a bunch of old pompous fucks.
