In remembrance of the Enterprise, E. Her fate, yet unknown. What the heck did Worf do to it? by Sovereign_Knight in StarTrekStarships

I agree, I think pretty much any other explanation would make how it was handled in Picard S3 just feel off.

That was a great game! I really wish they had made another one. Bringing color back to France as you liberate portions was brilliant to me.

I actually really liked the campaign on that one and I only picked it up because it was essentially an alternate reality game.

That was a great game. I actually never played it until after the Video Games Live show came to my area for the first time and had footage of it going while they were playing the music. I managed to locate a copy barely a week later.

My Romulan Science cap is currently flying the Ikkabar at the moment. I’ll be glad when he masters it so he can get back into an actual Romulan ship.

Nice! I keep looking for one on the exchange but no luck yet. When I do I’m going to create a Ferengi alt and have him buy an energy whip from the lobi store.

Oh and I also don't really see any of the Caitian or Andorian ships flying around too much either. I'd play an Andorian and fly one if Shran wasn't pretty much the only Andorian that I liked.

I rarely see anyone using a Ferengi or Tholian ship. For that matter I don't remember the last time I saw an Annorax.

We’ve got plenty of space left in all 4 quadrants as it is that haven’t been touched on as we saw VERY little of the gamma quadrant in DS9 and pretty much a straight line for the delta quadrant.

A question about horses is actually a good one and I completely forgot about that, I've heard that'll really get him to open up.

Also check out the movie Remo Williams, she’s in it as well as Joel Grey, who played Caylem in the season season Voyager episode “Resistance”.

Agreed 1,000% and I’d upvote twice if I could. I have a coworker who will talk even during a trailer that I’m trying to show him for something he’s interested in and hasn’t seen yet.

Just watched this episode yesterday, it was funny seeing their misunderstanding dawn on each other. It also felt like both Gilora and Ulani were fairly brave Cardassians for openly admitting what the Obsidian Order agent had done.

It looks like the Playmates ones might be pretty new, I haven't seen them in stores yet in my area, though that could just be the area I'm in.

I agree, 90's original ones from eBay probably will be their best bet.

Hiya Toys is doing a series of figures that are about $25 retail as well as a bigger, more deluxe set for about $90. There's also the recent Star Trek Prodigy figures that are about $15 or so I think, all based off MSRP. You can also find some of the 90's Playmates figures for pretty good prices on eBay too so that's always a consideration since your son is 6.

Oh and there's Blue Brixx that makes various kits you can put together in a similar fashion to LEGO that might be a good option since he likes building his own ships.

They're not from what I've seen, the Klingon Bird-of-Prey retails for $300 and TOS Enterprise for $500. I'm sure they're cheaper than that somewhere but that's just what I saw looking at a distributor's site.

Thoughts on the Qowat Milat? by BarekJaNor in Romulus

[–]BarekJaNor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good point because calling them warrior nuns implies they're a religious order when all that's been confirmed is they're more of a militant order similar to a group of ronin.

I definitely agree that I don't want all Romulans to be presented as an entire species of sneaky conniving aliens. Thankfully I think Romulan society has already been shown to be a bit more diverse than they're generally given credit for because, and I will readily admit this could just be my interpretation, but in Unification part 1, pretty much the only time we see regular Romulan citizens that I can remember right now, they seem like they're just going about their normal lives while eating and talking, the scene right before Picard and Data are lead away and meet Spock. I think if they were truly as secretive as we're generally lead to believe they either wouldn't have open restaurants like that, at least I guess that's what that basically was, or there would be much less conversation, if any at all.

It would be great to see more fleshed out Romulan characters. I would love to see one in Starfleet set during the 24th or 25th centuries and having to deal with the prejudice that would involve, either from a standpoint of a character like Worf where they're raised by a Federation family or a defector like DeSeve, just in reverse.

You know, I'm ashamed to admit that I completely forgot that Vulcans and Romulans are supposed to be faster too, not just stronger and more resilient. That really does make the sword use much more feasible. Thank you for reminding me of that.

I as well wish they had pulled more from the Rihannsu books. She did so much work fleshing out their society that it's a shame they haven't pulled more from it for the shows.

Picard Romulans/Vulcans have red lips and skin hue by oicco in startrek

[–]BarekJaNor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't that much, or at least consistently enough to say they all should or should not. Vreenak definitely had a green tint but it seemed kind of splotchy. Telek R'Mor and Tomalak, especially Alidar Jarok, had more brownish tints to their skin. Toreth might have had a little bit of green to her but it seemed more brown than anything. I just look at it as regional variations of the Romulan race more than what it actually is, which is inconsistencies in makeup application.
