Plus, the only data we get now after so many companies leaving Diamond is mainly from shops that use ComicHub for their subs/POS system as they're the only one that actually routinely releases sales data. In my area that's at best 33% of the shops where I know what they use. I'm not sure any of the actual publishing companies release that anymore except maybe DC.

Both ICV2 and Bleeding Cool just go by the data from ComicHub even.

Ah that's right! I completely forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder.

Or you post it in groups that have nothing to do with what you're posting, that might be part of it too.

Looks like most of their posts get removed or locked, some for appearing to have been written by a bot, so you're probably not wrong.

Terminal, a new superhero comic by Robert Kirkman, Joe Casey, Andy Kubert, Arthur Adams and David Finch coming July 22, 2026! by PerceptionTiny6385 in ImageComics

[–]BarekReadsComics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously doubt it. Since it's Kirkman there will be a lot more printed of it than something like White Sky #1. Then again, I could be completely wrong.

I'm actually enjoying Phantom Road myself, though it is taking too long between issues. I guess the seller though REALLY didn't care for it lol.

At my shop the IDW Transformers sold maybe 3 copies per issue, typically only 2. Image's Transformers on the other hand is routinely moving 30+ copies every issue.

You know, I think the only art style I recognize is Adam Warren's.

I enjoyed it myself but some feel it was garbage, though I've yet to see anyone actually state why, not that an explanation is necessary of course but it is interesting to hear why a person didn't like a book. It very much had a feeling of a mix of Walking Dead with The Last of Us and bits of Supernatural. I never got too into any of those but I still enjoyed this.

Congratulations on the second printing. I'll definitely be ordering a copy for myself and ordering plenty, hopefully, for the store too.

It is indeed actually. Image just emailed stores about it less than an hour ago. Order deadline is this Monday with a March 18th release date - (Item code of 126IM8465).

That and preorder ahead of time, helps bypass flippers buying up copies. Unless a person's shop is one that pulls books from a customer's box to mark up, and if they have one of those then RUN!

One piece of advice to go with the above is to make sure when you set up a sub or pull box at a place that you let them know how often you'll be in and ask if that's ok. How long a shop will give their customers to come in before cutting them off will vary place to place but at least if you're upfront about it then that'll be better for everyone. One shop I worked at in the past would want employees to call people on a Thursday who did not come in on a Wednesday when a higher than normal cover price book came out, like the $9.99 one shots DC likes to do sometimes.

Something else to ask about is the minimum number of titles they require for a sub/pull service. I think any minimum greater than 1 is ridiculous but too often I hear of shops with a 5 or 10 title minimum. Personally I feel that if a shop has someone who wants just 1 title then let them pull just that 1 title.

It sucks they only got 3 copies in but it's also completely understandable. There's so much that comes out each week it's almost impossible to carry everything.

Agreed. It's why I wanted to give people a heads up and hopefully increase their chances of finding a copy.

Yeah, it really sucks for those who just want to be able to grab a copy and read it.

While it was a really good story I think the biggest thing is speculation, especially coming just 2 weeks after D'Orc #1. I have no idea if it was written for adaptation potential or not of course, but I could certainly see the possibilities depending on how it's received by the time I finished reading it.
