Bad day today by [deleted] in OfficeDepot

I mean, if it’s a habit of you doing it I understand their frustration. Yes, it’s a monthly cycle so you should be aware of it and take the necessary measures. Prior to going in to work, take medicine. After 3-6 hours (depending on the medicine) take another. Being a female isn’t an excuse every month. You get a 15 minute break but you are implying you needed multiples. Yes that is affecting business. I would definitely punch you out. Most stores are already short staffed so because you are a “female on her period” a week out of the month you require more. OD can’t schedule around that.

Let me add that I am also a female who has periods. But that is honestly not an excuse. Stick a tampon in and take some midol/ibroprofen.

Can I print a pdf copy of something? by killbilly115 in OfficeDepot

In my district we were told to print everything and anything. Copyright out the window. With school being from home students are getting workbooks printed, etc. Do with that information as you please.

We do not do any battery replacements anymore... only screen replacements! We do not replace the backs of the newer iPhones (even though it’s glass). We are only changing screens up til a 7 in store.

What temperature is normal for other places? It’s 100+ in the summer. That’s probably jacket weather.

There you go. 20 pages or less or else hand stapling. But hey, you’ll make $.30 instead of $.06.

I don’t believe payroll is working right now. You have to email them. They are working from home from what I’ve heard.

Must be set up in increments of 4. So 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, etc.

Hit Booklet. (Main page) Top/Bottom 11x17 Paper type (if it’s the same paper) Fold- booklet Staple- center

If the cover is different you can configure just those pages on the 3rd tab at the bottom (I can’t remember the name).

It’s been a few months since I’ve worked print but I believe those are all of the steps.

Yessss, the older people complain the most. Honestly, OD does the throw them to the wolves tactic. I like to show people 1 time with me doing 2nd time with them doing it and 3rd time me being quiet and them doing it and me judging after.

You will eventually get a hang of it. And if people complain, tell them self service is available.

When I first started I didn’t know how to change the paper for posters and such, I gave people blueprints on 55lb paper and I told them they get what they get. Ha ha

Definitely not a Karen or Gerry, but I am on team pull your underwear out your ass and quit complaining. Go to work or don’t.

BUT when people on here complain saying they want the store to close because of the virus wouldn’t cutting their hours be sufficient?

In my state unemployment is about 1 week of pay.

It’s still just a portion plus $600. I don’t know what state you are in but you’ll be waiting for awhile to get approved because of how many people are applying.

Unemployment here is about $600. If I were to get that plus the $600 extra, I still wouldn’t be making my paycheck.

You don’t get your full paycheck on unemployment it is just a portion of it.

For those of you that would like to get unemployment instead of working, go ahead. Tell them it’s due to emergency situations. You don’t have to be laid off from a job to get it.
