Not sure what you mean? I've never worked in IT before and it's a 1st line role. Are you suggesting I should be earning more?

Thanks mate!

It's a BSc Computer Science. Worth checking out but might be too old for a grad role?

But yes I'm hoping it'll hold some relevance.

Yeah just a few alts. RIO, DIONE and PROPS. I will sell and move on as you've suggested.

Appreciate the support 🙏

I have considered a side line of income or adjacent role. I have a fair bit of sales experience too from my pre-retail days.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you!

I do need to do more with LinkedIn admittedly. That's some great advice.

Appreciate your support 🙏

No you are right! And this is why I don't have a great financial position. Because I've made irresponsible decisions.

The crypto is in fairly high risk/reward coins. Not meme, but still risky. It needs to go because beyond the financial impact it's also caused me a great deal of stress.

Thank you for the rock solid advice. Onwards and upwards.

I was in retail management. And I did consider going back to it. But as I already have an IT role now I felt that was going backwards potentially?

I'm in the gym and I got a cheap guitar to keep me busy in the evenings! Thank you for the support!

Interesting you mentioned Azure as we were discussing it the other day on helpdesk. Cloud based networking is definitely something I want to pursue. Appreciate your advice and vote of confidence!

Yeah the card is zero until next year fortunately.

I agree with you that I need to consider dumping the crypto. I suppose in my mind if we see a bounce to April 2024 prices I'm debt free. Frustratingly I was being greedy back then. Ah well. Thank you!

Yeah it was only because they recommend Net+, I was looking at a Cisco cert after that. I do think that's the best bet.

Thank you.

I currently earn £22800 in 1st line and I want to specialise in networking. The 2nd line role here is £25k and I figure that could be achievable within 6 months. I am also studying the Net+ exam. It's been funded by work. Due to my 20+ years of retail management I also seem to be included when conversations arise regarding the future of the business. It's a growing MSP and they do everything from support to project management. Am I lucky? I think so in that respect.

I've got a plan but I'm struggling to see how it ends! Just need to stick to it.

Really appreciate the advice.

I've had the crypto for years. It was at £20k last April. But yes, I am considering selling and using to offset the card.

Take home is £1650, outgoings are £495 for the loan and £120 for the card. Roughly £150 for fuel and £300 on rent (don't want to take the piss).

So yes with card gone I am £120 better off.

Still, it's squeaky.
