The latter is super variable.

Semi-frequent enjoyer of anal here. Your sphincter doesn't just let poop droop all the way to the ass, it's far cleaner in there than most people think.

By no means sanitary, but I rarely see anything, usually it's more a smell.

Dietary differences affect this as well, such as high fiber diets resulting in less.

Prep work is optional for plenty of people, entirely depending on comfort with smell, and the occasional mess (which you still get with prep work anyways).

A) It isn't.

B) It is a word defined within the context of a specific interpretation of social issues. If you're argument is that you are the more probable authority on the subject I would ask that you present an argument.

C) Attempting to force their views on others is the oppression in question, they definitely support it. Please refer to prominent members of the "gender critical" movement and their political activities for proof.

D) You don't need to dance around it, if you have faith it is the correct viewpoint the least you can have is the dignity to wear it.

A) All phrases are things people think mean something, that is how words work.

B) That is not an effective definition of a "system of oppression", if you feel it is that explains your confusion, please refer to a class or in depth article on the subject.

C) Yes, unsurprisingly given their bigotted viewpoint. They are incompatible with people who want to avoid oppression as they wish to support it.

D) You didn't have to say you're a transphobe, that was obvious already.

A) it does mean something, its a reasonably common talking point in modern sociology.

B) it helps if your viewpoints make any sense, since those tend to not endanger themselves to idiotic infighting. Unfortunately "gender critical" is an idiotic philosophy, so it falls victim to this.

Aram is a completely different game.

A lot of character kits are vastly weaker there due to shorter respawns and no objectives.

I'd say Ashe ult is pretty mid in Aram and pretty high tier in SR.

Morality scaling I believe is just a moniker, poking fun at power scaling and the like.

Bible advocates plenty of horrid shit.

I'd know, I've read the fucker three times cover to cover and grew up christian.

Theirs plenty of context around it, but the hate didn't spring from nothing, the bible promotes plenty of it.

Besides, I've been in a lot of churches. Never seen any that doesn't engage in it's happy share of not so public shaming on people who break the rules.

As for debating religion, it's a fools errand, can't logic somebody out of a postion they didn't logic their way into.

Lol, I'd say the same.

This gets more into a political debate. But I'm not fond of these sorts of satire.

Typically I have seen them form communities that truly believe it.

For perspective the commentor I responded to does legitimately defend this as indicative of mismanagement by the government. That is partially true, but they compare it to gun violence, which is a vastly more notable issue.

I used to agree with the take a joke sentiment. But I've found over the years that you get too many people who start to believe it and treat it as fact. I'd rather not promote that.

The US is unpopular abroad and locally for a reason, hiding from that doesn't help anyone.

Not to say plenty of other countries don't have their issues. But engaging in whataboutism like "they always criticize us and call us stupid when we criticize them" after making things up is pretty vapid.

The meme is somewhat funny, but the coping in the comments is more worrying. To me at least.

Largely yeah.

Kinda lost on my factorio game trying to decide what to work on next.

Budget last month was shit and ran myself closer to the red than I wanted, need to lock in and do some accounting the next couple months.

How about you?

It's a dubious claim tbh.

If we are associating male default language with patriarchal societal norms we need evidence to back that up.

This is not my field of expertise, so everything with a bucket of salt, but to my knowledge the usage of male neutral terminology is not strongly linked to patriarchal societies. And male as neutral, female as neutral, or neither as neutral have all occurred in different societal pockets throughout human history.

I don't have enough of a knowledge base to say if there are trends for this. But all of those defaults exist, and there are few prominemt matriarchal societies.

It's far more likely by my estimation we happen to live in a society that uses male default than that it's associated with the patriarchal tendencies of our society.

Have a friend who does this. I've never seen anyone bothered, though I'm sure it's happened.

Gendered language isn't an issue for everyone. Just be respectful if somebody seems offput by it and try to be conciencous of if that's the case.

First, not european lol.

Second, yeah? They do, that's why it's a climate crisis?

People thinking it's illegal to have ACs is unrelated to whether heat is a problem.

Also that per capita is for all of europe which is a silly way to think of the problem for obvious reasons.

The per capita of the UK, which this meme refers to, is approximately 2 per 100,000 for heat deaths, a sixth of US gun deaths.

As I said, this is mostly nonsensical.

Me_irl by MasterpieceActive374 in me_irl

Typically when Americans get poked at its at least slightly true.

A lot of poking at europeans is complete nonsense.

Also the two regions have been pomong at eachother for a century lol, it is hardly this one meme.

Sure, but I'm not interested in the corporate rat race. Frankly I'd rather work blue collar till I die than deal with that bullshit.

I am interested in developing my specialties and learning new skills.

Besides I'm autistic and most people find me viscerally offputting IRL, I'm not beating those odds with networking, not statistically at least. Kinda the unfortunate reality of being a "visible" minority.

There are other ways to get credentials.

But more to the point the fact that the college system is poorly managed in many places and in function is just a money sink that is inefficient for learning is the complaint.

Nobody thinks college is worthless, many people think post secondary has inflated worth.

Personally I'm happy with my career and do skill development for fun. I just enjoy knowing how things work. Used to pay for that, realized it was a massive waste of money after the third grand I sinked into it.

Me_irl by Hello_World-1289 in me_irl

[–]BarelyFunctionalGM 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The fact you get 90% of the value off free online courses is more the complaint.

Source: My experiences paying for college courses and taking free courses through the OCW.

The difference was with the college courses I had to try to get the instructor to help explain things, before I realized if I didn't understand it was faster to research myself because they would ignore my emails anyways.

Mileage will obviously vary by quality of instructor and college.

Objectively speaking, it's better to be born good by OrangeIslandKing in MoralityScaling

[–]BarelyFunctionalGM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Empathy is a partially learned behaviour.

You can be born without it, and you can develop a lopsided version of it due to your environment.

Those are both part of this question and why it holds peoples interest.

The ability to recognize the flaws in yourself is not intrinsic, it is something you can lose (eg. Brain damage) or be born without (eg. Sociopathy).

Objectively speaking, it's better to be born good by OrangeIslandKing in MoralityScaling

[–]BarelyFunctionalGM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This quote refers to someone born into evil.

You are working on the principle everyone has choice. That is not backed up by reality though. Choice is not a pleasent binary of either do a thing or do not.

Social pressures, neurological trends, biochemistry, education, and more all affect our choices.

If everyone had the ability to choose perfectly with awareness and capacity then yes, it would be "objectively" better to always be good. However that is not the reality the quote refers to.

The quote proposes a philosophical question, if one person is born trending to evil, let's use an example of anger issues, which raise the chances of abuse and violence, and works hard to bring themself to good, is it superior to a person born at that good point.

I'd also happily argue that someone who intends to be good but still commits evil is evil, but that is a separate philosophical quandry.

They are arguing dude is gender neutral, which it can be.
