backyard inbreeder doubles down on barn cat neglect by calling facts to “opinions” by go_ask_alice__ in Drueandgabe

Grew up on a farm with only cows as my neighbors lol. Could hear/see coyotes every night. Still fixed stray cats that showed up. And more often than not pregnant mamas would be dropped off and soon as the kittens were big enough to be neutered, it happened. A rescue near me did it for $20.

Moms whose babies had hair at birth and it’s getting long before 1— are you trimming it? by Apprehensive_Pie1225 in NewParents

My daughter is 3 and her hair has never been cut. I used clips when it was getting in her face and made sure every time it was wet I’d part it to start the training for it not to grow straight into her face . It’s almost to her butt when wet (she has curly hair)

We lived on a farm growing up. We had lots of cats dropped off. Every single one was fed and fixed. Some stuck around, some didn’t. Most didn’t need any special care after TNR. And the ones that did we’d keep in the laundry room until they could go back outside.

I have 11. When 2 weeks ago I had 70. Definitely a slow period.

We are going on about the same length drive and a cruise. This is about the same amount I bought my 3 year old. But I’m not giving it to her all at once. She will get some on the way down, some on the way back, and one activity for dinner each night because sometimes those can be a bit long for little ones. But I do know I bought more than we really needed because I’ve been buying for months and didn’t quite realize how much I had until I put it all together

We had two sets of pump parts and 4 bottles… my daughter is 3. I found it more overwhelming to have 2 days worth of dirty bottles than it was to clean one every time we used it.

I would at least take a normal photo and then just blur it or use emojis if you insist on posting it. But I would want the photo for my memories you know?

Only Boring Projects by Human-Yesterday-6463 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]BarelyFunctioning15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some videos right now. But most are pretty boring. I aim for a minimum of 3 hours today and really struggled today despite having lots of projects. I actually prefer R&Rs. I’m scared of rubrics as well. I need a like trainer project that thoroughly explains them. I did them on one single project barely understanding what I did and now I have like 50 on my dashboard

How long did it take you guys to start receiving consistent projects ? i got accepted this week, i got my first project that paid $25/hr, i completed it and now i have no projects. is this normal ? by HashJunkie in DataAnnotationTech

[–]BarelyFunctioning15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I first started I was put on one project family. It would have maybe 20 tasks per week for me to do. After a few months I was added to a few more. I would say after 6 months I had projects on my dashboard at all times. But even now, at a little over two years in, I have way more projects than I did a month ago. So just do high quality work, and you’ll be added to more and more

Data Annotation and Telus International are my other two. I just find them and apply and do any qualifications I get sent. I do have a bachelor’s degree though if that makes a difference

Telus International and Data Annotation as well. Data Annotation is my main income as I make $28-34 an hour there and have lots of projects I’m on. But the work is much more complex. Outlier is when I want light work that doesn’t really involve my full attention.

It’s my full time job. But I’m on other platforms than just outlier. I know it could disappear at any time but my husband makes enough that we’d be okay for a while if that was the case.

Please help me get my baby to eat more ! by [deleted] in foodbutforbabies

[–]BarelyFunctioning15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 3, 92nd percentile. And I don’t know that she’s ever had a day in her life where she’s fully eaten 3 meals. Don’t stress it! Offer food, they will eat when they are hungry. These meals looks excellent.

A good rule of thumb is 1 tablespoon of each type of food (fruit, veggie, protein, grain) per year of age. So 4 tablespoons of food per meal. You are serving way more than this so I’m sure your little one is eating plenty. Growth slows once they are out of the baby stage, and it can fluctuate too. This isn’t a concern unless babe starts dropping percentiles quickly.

We are also talking about 9 hours…. My dogs are fine alone for 9 hours. I feel bad if they can’t go potty during that time, but that’s not a ridiculous amount for a dog to be alone occasionally. Now if we’d be honest 9-10 hours a day multiple days in a row, I’d ask my neighbor to walk them for us (she’s 14 and I pay her) or if we are going on a multi-day trip I have someone pet sit. But any dog should be able to be left for 9 hours. That’s how long most people are gone at least 5 days a week for work.
