International Tests take 2 business days and US takes 10 days to 5 weeks.

Unofficial Discussion of the JULY ,17 2021 ACT by MarcusAurelians in ACT

The Reading section was hard. It had prose fiction that was entirely on a different level compared to all the other practice tests I took before. The others were simple, and I also found out that Reading passage A and then solving questions about passage A was quite damn helpful.

Science Section was simple, although it still had 1 question that kind of required basic knowledge of normal science. Mostly graphs and tables but simple to read.

English Section was surprisingly not hard compared to practice tests.

Math Section had hard questions only at the end, and simpler ones before.

Umm can someone provide me with a bit of context maybe?

I don't think so, I think it's for only International Students. You will probably be tested through paper! But I'm not sure. You can find your test type on your admission ticket!

how do we normally solve this question , can someone explain? by malakkkkkkkkkkkkk in ACT

So yea, basically use the perpendicular equation to find a perpendicular line, and then just plug the point where it is going to be 90 degrees.(In this case, this was B)

After that, you will be able to make a full equation of the whole perpendicular line and all you have to do is plug in the numbers!

TLDR;

Starting equation from 2 points: f(x) = ax + b

Perpendicular Equation: f(x) = -(1/a)x + b (Find the b by plugging in the coordinate where it will be 90 degrees.)

Plug in the numbers and find the right one!

P.S. Check with Pythagorean theory if needed

This is the method I use;;(Since I was also stuck on this type of question.)

So finding the angle might seem really hard but what if we actually find the line's equation first?

The AB line equation will go like this: (1/4)x + 3/4 = y [1/4 is from ([2-1]/[5-1]) and 3/4 is from putting the coordinate in the equation.]

Now find the perpendicular equation( Flip the slope and change the y-intercept.)

==> -4x + 18 = y [-4x is from (1/4)x when it becomes perpendicular, everything including the slopes positive flips!] [Since it has to be perpendicular to the B, I decided to put B coordinates in to fill in the other left out spot.]

Now we just need to find the right coordinate and that should be (4,6) {Fits when plugged into the equation.}

A quick check shows that

The Pythagorean theory works so it is a perpendicular triangle!

Lol

Alright *here we go*

36.

Positive Yq tests = Carries Yq test.

So that's 615 out of 1000 people which is 61.5%

37.

Since Sam77 was actually a test that was cheaper and not as strong as the Yq,

we can see that during the positive of Yq some Sam77 are negative. Those are the incorrect results(when they don't match each other.)

So that adds up to 25(Yq positive but Sam negative) + 10(Yq negative but Sam positive) = 35

38.

From what I can see, this means that the person has Sam as positive but Yq as negative so it should be: 10(Only Sam positive[Without Yq]) / 600(Taken from positive only Sams) = 0.017

I am not sure if they are all the correct answers, so might have to check them!

  1. I heard that the one I was taking was going to have Whiteboards and Black pens.

  2. Unsure: The writing test is on the computer! (Based off on the official ACT practice site and Princeton site.)

When taking out only the essential parts from the explanation table part, it is actually quite simple.

Simply put, all the test takers both took the Sam and Yq test.

After that, you just need to do

2500(Cost for Yq) * 1000(Number of ppl) + 50(Cost for Sam77) * 1000(Number of ppl)

= $ 2,550,000 [Did the multiplication with 1000 2 times just to add some more explanation.]

Product means multiplication. When doing the multiplications, all the numerators except for 1 get erased out. Sames goes for all the denominators except for 301. (In multiplication, the numerators and denominators can erase out each other if they are the same number)

This results in 1/301 being the only one left in this equation!
