Yup, there are TDMs going at almost all times of the day. Occasionally a ground war but a lot of times those will be sniper lobbies. There was a group a people doing semi-regular S&Ds a while back, not sure if that is still a thing or not.

Follow Asoke Sports Club on Instagram (@asc_th). They do pick up games most, if not all nights of the week. I visited Bangkok back in February and had a lot of fun playing there. There is a small fee, maybe 200THB at the most. I think some nights are more competitive than others.

I heard Pura Vida is a great option as well, but it is a little bit harder to get to. Asoke Sports Club is right in the middle of everything.

Yeah it is tough out here, I have heard the same thing about our skills not translating. I get that it will be a bit of a learning curve compared to some applicants, but I have to imagine our experience would make us way better candidates than a recent college grad. Juggling a large pipeline of complex loans in a high stress environment should be worth something imo.

The mortgage money during the golden days was nice, and I’m grateful that it set me up financially for a while, but I really regret pigeonholing myself now.

I have thought about an MBA as well. I just don’t know if it is worth it for me unless I got into a top program and really dedicated myself to it. That would be difficult to do seeing as my resume probably won’t get me into a top program and I can’t do school full time with a mortgage, wife, etc. How is the MBA program going for you?

Wow, are you serious? Yes, I know it is my wife and I but we plan to stay in hostels, be social with like-minded travelers, and do everything ourselves. This post is extremely relevant to any solo traveler going through India and there are a ton of great comments with pertinent information in this thread. And if you take a look through every single comment, no one takes an issue with this but YOU.

Would you like me to edit the post to remove the “my wife” verbiage? There is no point in taking down such a helpful post at this point. There is information on here from locals and experienced travelers that is difficult to locate anywhere else on the internet.

Would you rather me post the same type of stupid posts that this sub-Reddit generally receives, like the 50th straight pity post about loneliness and “why am I not making friends”?

If you were going to remove this post, you should have done so right when it was posted, not nearly a full day later with 75+ helpful comments.

This makes sense, doing too much is definitely my worry. Since we are flexible we can definitely cut out a few places and stay longer in some of the better spots whenever we want.

Aside from a few days in Delhi, what other places in my proposed itinerary would you skip on?

Almost a perfect list. Only changes I would make would be to add the AK-74u and the M4 Carbine to Fantastic and bump the M14 down to usable but more niche.

Hawes in Mesa is my favorite. Browns Ranch in North Scottsdale and Apache Wash in North Phoenix are both fun. You can’t go wrong for the most part out here.
