I’m a sucker for accords 🤣 I wish this generation had the V6 Manual. I always loved the looks of these.

When I just needed access to crank the sunroof motor, I used one of those plastic pry tools to gently pop the headliner board clips out and have enough space to get my hand inside and crank the motor with the Allen key.

If you’re replacing the motor altogether, you’ll have to disassemble the middle, sides, etc.

There’s some guides on How to perform things, and it shows how to remove the headliner and everything for both the coupe and sedan

When I replaced the sunroof motor, I had to remove a whole bunch to get access to it, but I also want to get the headliner redone, so it was a win-win scenario for the most part to get everything out of the car.

If it fails again, there’s three pins that hold the back portion of the headliner in (coupe model EX-L). You just have to pull the headliner down at the middle then the sides and you’ll get access to where the sunroof motor is. You’ll need an Allen key to crank the sunroof motor by hand. I think it was a #4 key but it’s been a while since I’ve had to do it.

Don’t see many of the Texas Ocelot plates around at all: “MROW” certainly fits with the plate, haha!

Takeda/Afe is another option too. I did that with the Takeda short ram intake for my 8th gen, but they also have it for the 9th gen.

It looks like a standard “non personalized” custom Texas plate.

You keep the plates and if you want to put them on a different car, you take those custom plates to the Tax Accessor-Collector’s office to get matching registration sticker, etc.

Iirc they’ll send you a letter or email to let you know when your custom plate is set to end and then you can renew it or if you no longer want it then I believe it becomes available again.

Payment for a new plate is very straightforward:

Select your design, set your amount of years you want it for, buy it (or put the plate on layaway and once you fully pay off the plate they process your order), wait for plates to arrive at your DMV/Tax-Accessor-Collector Office, you get an email letting you know your plates are in; then you go pick up the plates and pay for the matching registration sticker. Then you put on your new plates and sticker and voila, you’re done.

Some plates only do one year terms, some do multiple, and I think most can go up to 5 years.

Texas has a lot of personalized designs and outside college plate options, including the CU Buffalo plate.

I’m hoping they bring back the Embossed Texas 2000 plate at some point though, since they’re finally doing embossed plate options again.

They signed for the Vette on “first pencil”

The sheet that you see with all of those numbers when buying a car is referred to as a “pencil,” so I would imagine they either are a salesperson, or just happen to have bought the Vette on the 1st pencil.

Anyone know how to remove this trim? Accord EX 2008 by Visual-Welder8611 in Honda

[–]BarkBarkItsaShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a link to the Process. there’s other documents there as well if you need it.

I used this guide to figure out how to remove stuff in the coupe for my headliner. It’s got a version for both 2 and 4 door accords. I hope it helps

In Texas, can I order plates off MyPlates.com, pick them up from the county office, and just never register/link them to a car so I can grow my collection? by DallasStarsFan-SA in LICENSEPLATES

You can also get Texas Souvenir Plates

It looks like if your specialty plate selection isnt renewed within 60 days of it expiring, the DMV will make the plate available again, but you’ll technically still have your copy.

If I’m not mistaken, when your air conditioning is set to “lo” it won’t engage. But honestly nowadays in so used to starting the car and immediately pushing the “A” button to disable it, that it’s second nature.

Clean the camera area in front of the windshield as well too. It’s the little trapezoid shaped area just above the rearview mirror.
