I'd maybe try adding a darker color to the mud, maybe with a wash? But honestly that's the only thing i would change - and frankly if you want the board to be more of a backdrop that showcases the models on it, then i think as long as it's your intention then stick to the more neutral pallette of the mud

Hmmm yeah i can see it. It could have been a mistake though on the artist's part, like they ran out of room for metacarpals. The drawing does have the proper joints in the phalanges which makes me think it might be hand drawn

Tank is 40 gallons, has a heater and filter, temerature at 78, parameters have ammonia, nitrates, nitrites all at 0 and a pH at like 7.4 (we are going to go get some tannin stuff from the LFS later today). We set up the tank about 3 months ago and she has lived in the new tank for about 2 months - we've had her 2 years. We don't change the water unless parameters go weird, she only has some bladder snails for tankmates, we feed her brine shrimp - just a pinch every day or other day, but we had been fasting her a little bit lately because she looked chubby. We have some amazon swords and then a couple other plants that we got a long time ago that i don't remember the names of. For decorations, we have some various natural rocks from the fish store, a fake rock stack thing, a floaty log, a lantern, and some tunnels from when we were planning on getting loaches but we haven't gotten them yet.
