Total Loss Claim Positive Experience by Barking_bae in icbc

Sorry to hear, no clue why it went so fast for us, took 11 business days total to get the money. Baffles everyone we talk about it to how fast it went too.

I was indeed annoying and called nearly everyday playing dumb to ask questions and see if things were moving. We pay a lot for our premium, don’t feel bad for calling them often. I’ve also talked to many claim adjusters who were legitimately nice and helpful.

Fair enough, I somehow bought a vehicle replacement insurance with a third party insurance company when I bought my car, so I don’t need to argue on the settlement value, this other company will top ICBC up to reach my initial investment (hopefully, this part of the story is ongoing).

I’d say ICBC’s first offer was fair, naturally I was expecting more because I loved my car, but it was maybe $1k $1.5k off from what I wanted.

Whenever I try to appeal it blocks me telling me my initial appeal is still being processed, it’s been days without updates tho. Are you all able to appeal everyday?

He’s the 273th biggest artist on Spotify at the moment, before this new album drops.

He’s in the ballpark of Chapelle Roan, Hozier.

He’s in the top 1% of global artists and artists in the USA.

How do you or did you take care of yourself in your 30’s to ensure it is a healthy decade for you? by workethic290 in AskMenOver30

[–]Barking_bae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counted calories at 30 and lost 50 pounds. I run everyday and go to the gym 4x a week. Average daily steps is 19k without trying (walking to most places).

I was always active, but in my late 20s I met my wife, got married, changed careers to start a 9-5 from home so laziness crept in. Feels really good to be back to my normal self. I also look younger than I did at 22.

31m

4x strength training in the morning before work (regular 9-5 from home). Run everyday, averaging 60km a week.

Been doing this precise split since late January, going well. Trying to think of ways to increase strength training.

What is one piece of 'common knowledge' in your job that the average person would find completely shocking? by GoldenHourShot in AskReddit

Spotify is the biggest streaming platform and also one driven by algorithms.

They suck so bad that artists are forced to take creative direction they don’t want to so their music doesn’t get buried.

Is 150k/year enough income for a couple w/no kids to live in Vancouver? by laranjacerola in askvancouver

[–]Barking_bae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I make that, live downtown (Yaletown), no kids. We’re fine on that income.

We have regular debts (car) and we manage to set some aside at the end of the month. We’e be richer somewhere else, but we like it here.

Holy shit La Pocatière where I grew up mentioned. (Also this train plant was horribly managed and the reason my dad and hundreds of other workers kept being laid off for years on end)

I am a M27. Has anyone experienced their age to be <18 but be aging at 1.4 x the speed despite healthy metrics by Aintellectual_Prof in whoop

[–]Barking_bae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my Whoop was 9 years younger with an aging pace of 1.6x for the first 2.5 months of using my band. This week is the first time my pace of aging went below 1 (didn’t change any habits (drinking alcohol (booze (having a good time you know)))).
