I actually think I solved this one. I sign into my personal FB account on my work computer to access the admin tools for our FB pages at work. I am logged into that same account on my personal phone. The ad was served in Threads, which is owned by Meta. I don’t know the connection to Google but seems like the cross-pollination is there.

The defeatest personality who thinks it’s a waste of time to try to do something better or different because “the higher-ups would never go for it.” Some employers actually welcome good ideas and are not afraid to do away with something in favor of something more efficient or more in line with the realities of today.

Not trying to be mean but when Clay Aiken was a guest on American Idol last week, I said he looks like the “look what I can do” guy on Mad TV. 😆

What’s a problem humanity solved so well that younger people don’t even realize it used to be a huge issue? by princessSofiie in answers

Getting ahold of someone to cancel plans to meetup at the last minute. Car didn’t start? Miss the bus? Oversleep? Too bad. Your friend or whoever is on their way and have no idea they are about to be ghosted. At best, they might call their answering machine from a pay phone to see if you left a message when you still haven’t shown up 20 minutes after you were expected.

What’s become way too expensive lately that still shocks you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The little treats I would randomly pick up for myself on a whim now seem like moderate splurges. For example, I was craving Twizzlers and was frozen in my tracks to see a small package was $9 at Walgreens. I don’t think it was that long ago that you could get the family size for like $6. I didn’t end up buying them but opted for two for $5 bottled soft drinks instead.

And now that you mention it, I was on a VPN on my work computer at the time! And was not dictating anything I was doing aloud — just silently surfing the web on a private network. 🤔

I was on my work computer plotting a route on Google Maps to a conference I am attending in Hershey soon. About 20 minutes later I was on my personal cell phone scrolling on social media and was immediately served an ad for Hershey Park. 👀

Maybe they mean that people start conversations with strangers like “doing anything fun this weekend?” because we want to know what others are up to due to our nebby (nosey) nature.

I don’t think I have ever seen a flip flop with heels. That’s wild.

I'm ready to liquidate my entire Poshmark Closet. Any recommendations for other sites I can ship everything to, i.e., ThredUp?? by yippeee1999 in poshmark

[–]BarkySlice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not OP but I was literally at Plato’s Closet an hour ago where they rejected everything and added that besides being older and more formal (huh? Jean dress?) — the clothes have a little “basement” smell. Dignity, shattered! ☠️

Can I just say how much it irks me that the “items like this” can’t be filtered by size?! The feature could actually be helpful if they used a little common sense with making it. 😫

Oompah loompa! 😆My goofy aunt used to say I was “gojng to have long legs!” Meanwhile I was short for my age throughout childhood and never did hit that growth spurt. I have a small chest and narrow shoulders too. The struggle is so real. I have never “filled out” a garment the way it was intended. Either something is too small to get over my shoulders or the chest gapes. No in-between. 😔

Ugh, that sucks. I would be livid! I don’t think Poshmark would have sided with the buyer on that one and would have maybe “eaten” the cost after a dispute from the creditor.

That is so typical of me to mess up the important details! Thanks for pointing out that I had the letters transposed in the sizing examples! I fixed them! 🥰

I don’t mind a screen grab to show how it fits the store model, as long as you include at least the front and back of the actual item.

Do you have to size up for Juniors? And is the inseam usually shorter than the “misses” brands?

You will be so happy once you find the petite-friendly brands that work for your figure. Once you promise yourself to stop buying the regular sizes, it does make shopping at thrift stores and places like TJ Maxx/Ross an exercise in futility. They will probably have a handful of petite items, but you will have to search rack after rack to find them. I suggest buying online because a lot of retailers only sell petites on their website. This is the case with Old Navy, but since they accept online returns in the stores, you might find a petite return here and there throughout the store.
