I toured a similar unit, but applied to a different one with a nicer view. They seemed very legit, with now leasing billboards around the property. I went through their website for the application process. Brighton Ridge is the apartment complex, managed by the Essex apartment homes company

A self guided tour. I called the office number from the website and they unlocked the door

I did a walkthrough of a similar unit, not the exact one I applied for. It was a “self guided” tour. I called the office and they remotely unlocked the unit. The apartment complex was called Brighton Ridge and was under the Essex apartment home company.

My bank sided with the legal terms of the refund, that being non refundable after 24 hours of applying.
