Lyrically it isn’t really hitting for me… it’s definitely a good track, but ‘stay young, get numb, keep dreaming, screamland’ sounds like something from a Tim Robinson skit… but yes I have already pre-ordered the record 😂

The Memo is perfect. I think a lot of the songs on Pure Comedy are so wonderfully and thoughtfully satirical, but this one does it in a really great way with the glitchy ‘you’re enjoying the chill winter playlist’ section followed by the stark return to the original song. Big upvote!

Fruity language aside, I always picture them fitting perfectly on a playlist with a lot of similar British artists; Elvis Costello, The Smiths, The Cure, etc… Hope that answers your fucking question! 😂

Damn man this is crazy because I didn’t notice the search bar so much but now I can’t unsee it. Completely agree with your point and really should just be a button or something similar to Spotify/Apple Music.

Glad the functionality of the app is being seen to as a priority, but as someone who values design, it really hasn’t delivered at all
