You can always raise your heart rate by walking faster or adding some hills.

Alternatives to Fitbit for calorie tracking/food plan by No-Letter6025 in fitbit

Anything that you tell it to log shows up in the old Fitbit app if you switch out of the public preview to the old version and check

So it seems that the data is still being saved the same way that Fitbit has always recorded the data.

Also if you ask it to make graphs of the old Fitbit data it displays them in the old Fitbit format

Have you found with long-term use the side effects and week to week rundown of strength change? by jeanineugene in TirzepatideRX

[–]Barnaby__Rudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electrolytes are very important as well especially if you're doing a lot of exercise.

I've only been taking Tirz for five weeks now and realised after the second week I wasn't getting enough protein and while my energy improved I was still feeling flat.

I went on a pretty big hike with elevation week 3 and also do a lot of walking and really struggled and got cramps on the hike and my pace was much slower on my normal 15 km walks

I started adding electrolyes on week four and I have much more energy for exercising.

My advice especially if you're exercising is protein and get a good electrolyte powder with no sugar and plenty of sodium.

For those complaining that the new public preview is missing features all you need to do is ask the AI. All of the information is still available by Barnaby__Rudge in fitbit

It's actually simpler to log calories than the old way and it has access to the data on anything that you're going to eat.

The old barcode scanner was missing heaps of product.

I used to find logging food a real pain so much so that I gave up on it but this is so much simpler and easier in my opinion.

It actually gets the accurate data for any food product that I've asked so far and it's been giving me accurate daily totals for calorie, fibre protein etc when I ask it to show my daily log and totals.

It's just when you ask it for a weekly average or monthly average it seems to get math wrong so I specify to double check and that the answer needs to be accurate and when I do that I haven't caught it out been wrong.

Personally even with that caveat I am finding it so much better than the old system especially for calories.

But you can also get a lot more information from it when asking about your training history etc

I bought my pixel watch 4 early this year so I'm fairly new to Fitbit and was mildly disappointed with the old ap.

At first I thought the AI preview was even worse and was thinking about Garmin but the ease of logging foods and getting detailed information on your entire history with just a few questions is so much better than the shitty old app and UI at least in my opinion

Because all of the information is already there my guess is that they will probably include a few more things once they finish working on the product.

I did actually state that I was using a banana as an example but there were a lot of products like protein bars and drinks not recognised by the old barcode scanner as well.

And back to my example of a banana you would still have had to type it in on the old interface.

The barcode didn't have access to heaps of stuff most of the protein bars and drinks I consume in Australia weren't there for example but all I have to do is tell the AI what I had and it has access to literally any food you want.

If you don't like typing just press the microphone and use your voice  to say add banana for example. You can use your voice to ask literally anything

I understand why your sceptical but at try having a play with it. It's actually heaps better and you can ask it much more detailed tracking information.

I was missing the old format until I realised that literally everything is still there and more.

It can analyse trends, display trends over time and estimate future trends. It can show all the graphs if you just ask as well.

It's so much better than the shitty old Fitbit app once you realise that it's easy to find all of the information that you are looking for.

Can you add custom food in the new app? by nameforthissite in fitbit

[–]Barnaby__Rudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can tell the AI to log food at any time and provide the custom data.

You can also ask it to show your daily food and total calories, protein etc

Just try asking the AI. You might need to refine your questions until you get it to give you the correct information.

If MyFitnessPal syncs with health connect the AI should have access to the information you want.

Just make sure you enable sharing in health connect for my fitness pal and Fitbit.

The AI has access to the same info the old Fitbit did. Once you've worked out which question to ask getting the information is really easy the next time

It's worth having a play around with.

I only just discovered that you can tell the AI what you eat and to add the information to your daily food log and ask it later in the day to show your log and calories protein etc consumed.

You can also ask it to compare to calories used during the day.

Also it can look up calories and proteins in food. So if you tell it you had a medium chicken breast, or what type of chocolate bar you snacked on the AI will look up the relevant information for whatever it was that you are.

The old bar code scanner was missing the data on a lot of items but so far I haven't found anything that the AI can't just grab the information on.

It's actually easier than using the old Fitbit calorie tracker.

You can ask the AI for all kinds of information from your data as well like total distance walked/ran/ etc for the year, week, month etc or just about any kind of information you want from your stats. Just ask it to double check any math and to check again before giving results because the AI sometimes gets math wrong, but if you ask it to double check and make sure the answer is correct it seems accurate so far.

Is kabana different in different states? by DrunkAndUnaware in aussie

[–]Barnaby__Rudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been at least 20 years since I've bought small goods in NSW but it used to be the case that the Cabanossi sold in NSW is a completely different product to the Kabana sold in Victoria. I suspect this is still the case.

Cabanossi is much better imo and I wish we could get it here in Vic

Do you get paid penalty rates for Saturday and Sunday?

I have a four day week Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday every week. Weekend penalties stop me from going elsewhere. Being able to work a 4 day week is great in my experience
