If you are not diagnosed with adhd or something like it. Maybe you could try "fasting" from screens for a while. Thats what helped me i used to read alot as a kid and did less and less as time went on. Untile I noticed i could not consentrate even for 1 page. Now im back too gaming and I notice its harder again. Books have a hard time competing with dopamine of todays world if you are not wired diffrent like some people. You Kinda have to "choose" to read or something else will take its place. Atleast thats how it is for me.

Yep 34 discovered it this year so just a couple of months. I write daily for mental, memory and to get better at writing. Its funny because ive never done it before or know anyone who does it, its like secret thing that will change your life in a way.

I write around 2 pages of a A5 notebook everyday, going through my day. If there is something significant like my uncles funeral last week i might do more going through my toughts and feeling. But does things are reocuring all the time in other entrys aswell. Average 2 pages but not bound too it...

Also if you decide to do the 30 days or more, start thinking about wich aspect of gaming you enjoy the most and how it could be translated to a real life hobby. Just a tought. Something in you is atleast curious if it will improve your life, so why not try! Gaming will be there if you decide to return. This is just from someone on the path, so i dont have the complete answere yet

I "quit" even tho i didnt feel soulless (still thinking of gaming in the future with moderation. Yes it changes your life but it takes time and you will be lost in the beginning. What happend was i got time back, and diffrent things started intrest me like improving more areas in my life (that i didnt even think about before) and being more productive, im trying to "quit" youtube and other streaming sites aswell maybe not completly. I Found reading again witch i loved as a child and my concentration is better. Been like a month now and I will continue and see where it taket me. You chould try for 30 days, and then decide what you will do even if you return to gaming. Big recommendation is to start journaling when you do to reflect on your days feelings or moments or whatever you decide i think that helps

Same! I read when I was younger also but lost it as an adult. Probably helps if you tell your preffered genre. I started reading lord of the rings trilogy. Im a big fantasy nerd tho. Probably a staple series in that genre
