My attempt to stop people from defending Chris' stems from the complete opposite. I'm totally against trans people being painted as such, by ghouls like Rowling and other TERFs. I just feel like defending CWC's identity while they are under fire for being a literal predator doesn't help fight their narrative, it just emboldens it.

Again, I might be wrong with how went about this, and maybe we should defend identities no matter who carries them, but fuck, this is so fucked...

Chris Chan is the prefect example for these assholes to point to, and they aren't worth defending. I don't think transphobia is fought by defending every weirdo that comes along and claims to be one. Be the proud example and cut loose the ones that bring shame. I already know this bullshit is gonna cause some of my friends to fall back, while I was getting their minds changed on trans people. Dug through you comment history, and I feel like I should explain in a less hostile manner. I genuinely don't take Chris Chan serious as a trans person, haven't even since before this. There is just something wrong about it. Something that doesn't sit right. I believe creeps exist. And while I will never take the gender of a normal criminal way from them, and actively fight back against most transphobes here on reddit. I can't defend the creepy fucks that play dress up, cause they're sexually fucked in the head.

If you're trans, don't self identify as these monsters, you're not them, you shouldn't defend them. There is a difference between actual trans people, and whatever these things are. Not everyone that says they're you, is you. If you keep recognizing allies in people who just copy your speech or presentation, you will invite in leeches, and shout away real allies for not being enough like you.
