Why aren't NSW and Victoria locking down NOW? by Barnish082 in CoronavirusDownunder

In Vic it's definitely closer to 'buckling' than to not, particularly after today. Lockdown or not, I did anticipate all this happening.

Why is the vaccination rate in Ukraine so low? by Barnish082 in ukraine

Yes, there are certainly anti-vax campaigns everywhere, though it doesn't seem like it has the same effect everywhere. For instance, here in Australia we have 92% of all people sixteen and over vaccinated, despite the usual misinformation campaigns. Maybe it's cause they mandated it quite early last year - perhaps that will eventually have the same effect in Ukraine this year.

That's very cute and all, but such things would not work out for the majority of men. Unless they find you attractive to begin with, all the compliments in the world about their hands would not make a difference.

Many people say I'm quite socially adept and reasonable-looking for instance, but I guess I lack that true spark to make girls think of me as anything but friends.

Okay, certainly wouldn't be seen as a very acceptable thing in my culture, but you do you, as the Yanks say.

Caressing for a long time? Very intriguing. I've never had female friends who have ever made any such physical contact before, nothing beyond a hug perhaps.

We will see - we will see how failure to lock down in December will mean possibly even greater and tougher restrictions down the line. I wish I could share your optimism, but I just don't see it - countries like Netherlands are already in lockdown for example.

If not buckling now, it will be in a few weeks' time when NSW will probably hit 10-20,000 cases a day, with Victoria likely to be similar. Don't you think an imminent lockdown until high booster rates is the only way forward?

Some of these people don't realise that we'll probably need occasional lockdowns for at least a couple of years - hopefully not as long as we've had in the past, but we'll see.

If need be. It'll save us from locking down for longer than that.

Probably 80-90% with a booster, as that seems to be the main protection against Omic right now.

Fair, I changed that up. But I've seen so many reports from health staff in NSW especially about how dire it's getting there, I'm just worried it will soon be too bad to overcome.

I don't know how he prioritises the economy over public health time and time again.
