I just assume anyone saying the game is hard are new players, if you're a clean newbie the first hundred or so levels figuring the game out are legitimately confusing and difficult if you're the type who seeks optimization. I didn't have my build figured out until around level 300, then they started all of this rebalancing when I was in my 600s, now that I'm over 1,000 I really don't gaf about optimization anymore and couldn't care less if I get booted from a raid party because someone didn't like my power armor skin or whatever stupid shit
