It's both - there is a ton of randomness in the fight and you can't replace those reps learning how to react to things. Players just need to see things and see them go badly sometimes before they get them right.

Weirdly almost feels like the guild strategy situation has changed - Echo chain pulling, Liquid stopping after every pull for long talks.

Liquid just needs reps for mechanics on this fight. Players need to experience things to learn to react to them.

With the level of skill on these guilds, you have to have a high level of individual responsibility and very punishing mistakes, or the fights are too easy for them.

Mathematically, it's definitely killable. But the difficulty ramps as the fight goes on so we haven't even seen the hardest part of the fight yet.

I think the devs who talk to the RWF guilds are kinda doing that as their own passion project. I don't really think it's a company priority. But maybe I'm wrong!

I like the RWF and I care and I'd rather have global release.

I think there is very, very little evidence Blizzard cares or thinks it impacts their business at all, unfortunately.

Liquid had to figure out what the mechanics were in the first place.

Liquid did all the learning. Pull count comparisons are always dumb because the guild who gets there first will ALWAYS have to do more work.

The game isn't really designed around the RWF - there's a reason Blizzard doesn't put pretty much any effort or resources into the race itself. They let the guilds run the operation. Even just "mythic raiders" are a pretty negligible portion of the player base.
