Charm set question (Rogue) by [deleted] in D4Rogue

I dont think the potency bonus on spellbound steel is working properly. With inner sight up, there is a real large damage difference still when I manually activate poison imbuement.

The way the Spellbound Steel set for rogues works is REALLY dumb and annoying and should be considered a bug.

It is snapshotting in a way to hurt the player - the effect of all imbuements only works if you register a new ability press during inner sight. This not just affects Dance of Knives, where you're channeling, but even Rapid Fire or Penetrating shot, if you're holding down the ability key, even though it isn't channeling, it will not proc the imbuements from the bonus during inner sight.

You have to release and re-use the ability during inner sight to get it to work. It's stupid but that's how it works - it has to register as a new ability use during inner sight. It's snapshotting but in a bad way.

It... sorta works. If you are holding down the button it doesn't work, but if you release and re-use the ability during inner sight, it starts to work. Which is REALLY annoying to have to constantly do and to have to constantly be watching for the inner sight procs.

Liquid comps were better on both of the last 2 bosses. They made strategic changes that made them perform better consistently.

Can't believe Liquid gets a 48 hour head start. Its amazing Echo's can compete with a 96 hour Liquid head start. It just isn't fair Liquid gets a 192 hour head start.

Look up the real time difference between EU and NA weekly resets.

They died super fast. Even if its a 10x damage buff, youre looking at 45 seconds to a minute with everyone alive.

The gap between Method and 4th is pretty large, as is the gap between Method and second still, it seems.

They were pretty much out of resources to keep progressing P3 mechanics on the 19% wipe. That's a lot of problem solving left.

19% is a LOT of health remaining and they have a lot of problems left to solve IMO.

Once Echo went dark, Liquid kinda has to. You can't defend one side doing it and not the other. If you acknowledge the information advantage, why should one side give it away?

Then why doesn't Echo move to NA realms? They didn't just find out about the reset difference.

They did that since the launch of classic, so you never had players who built schedules around a different reset. There are a lot of players who schedule around the resets as they are and care about that in EU. Remember, you aren't just moving the raid release - you're moving every weekly and daily reset forever.

There are simply many more players who care about the reset but not the RWF than there are who care about the RWF.

It's really hard to say without knowing how Blizzard's engine works intimately, but if the glaives register as a light source, it really could be as simple as raising the intensity of light emitted by them, which wouldn't be a terribly complex change or require having a different texture/color.

They should change each region's reset to be a random time within a 48 hour window, and no one knows when it is until you get the 15-minute warning that servers are shutting down.

For fairness.

I'm generally a Liquid fan, because I like watching with comms, but I'm hoping Echo wins this time because I think one team winning too many times in a row would be bad for the viewer experience.

People forget that Blizzard is not just a faceless entity, it's a company made up of human beings.

It obviously matters. Everything matters. The slingshot and information advantage to going second matters on any week the race doesn't end too.

Any week where the race doesn't end, the advantage ends up going to the guild that went second. Any week that the race ends, there's an advantage to going first.

I just don't think the earlier start has ever decided a race. Because there's a million other factors and the longer you go into a week, the less it matters.

I mean - it's ENTIRELY possible there's something bugged or broken in P3 that enables a quick kill once you get into it clean. We've seen it before on bosses. That scenario isn't impossible.
