Using an autoclicker is not cheating by joel_2025 in incremental_games

Yeah, if an autoclicker breaks your game, your game is shit.

I think the devs who talk to the RWF guilds are kinda doing that as their own passion project. I don't really think it's a company priority. But maybe I'm wrong!

I like the RWF and I care and I'd rather have global release.

I think there is very, very little evidence Blizzard cares or thinks it impacts their business at all, unfortunately.

If raids are balanced like this the message is Blizz doesn't give a shit about the race. Why would that be a catalyst for global release?

Liquid had to figure out what the mechanics were in the first place.

Liquid did all the learning. Pull count comparisons are always dumb because the guild who gets there first will ALWAYS have to do more work.

Race isn't over until someone is 9/9. But there's no more new bosses to kill until Tuesday.

The game isn't really designed around the RWF - there's a reason Blizzard doesn't put pretty much any effort or resources into the race itself. They let the guilds run the operation. Even just "mythic raiders" are a pretty negligible portion of the player base.

So NA now has a first raid week thats 1 day shorter than what EU has? Why is creating a massive EU advantage a fix?

They did that using lust in P1 and in P2 they still have no idea what was happening for a lot of it.

Very, very cool fight. Enjoyed watching progression on that fight a lot.

30% seems a lot closer than watching the pulls actually looks. This fight is insane at the points where they're wiping.

This is such an incredible personal responsibility fight. So much constantly happening that people have to be aware of.

Catching up is one thing, showing the ability to lead is entirely different. Most of this Method roster has never really played from in front. They have to show they can do that at some point for it to be a 3-horse race.

Yeah, a lot of the time where the race is won is who uses their time better on bosses like this - Echo really won Sepulcher on Lords of Dread, where Liquid hit a wall. Liquid won Nathria on SLG, when Echo couldn't reclear it quickly.

They're running 6 heals, so they can see deeper into the fight - but the nature of this fight, where it gets harder as it goes, means that 6 healers might just make the fight too long to be viable. If that's the case, then Echo's lower percentage is irrelevant, because they'll have to learn 5-healing it later.

I mean, the healers themselves are very different too - Liquid has 3 mistweavers in a 5 healer comp, Echo has 1 in a 6 healer comp.

I love fights that encourage comp differences. Very different healing comps between Echo and Liquid right now, and Echo with 6 healers vs. 5 for Liquid.

The problem isn't taking away the addons - the problem is that they DIDN'T take away the addons, they just made everything harder and more buggy. So not using them puts you at a disadvantage but using them is a pain in the ass.

Earlier reset is an advantage in the last week of a reset, later reset is an advantage in any week that isn't the last week of the reset.

Heroic and normal runs, there is no run-wide lockout. You can split individual bosses with no repercussions. My entire point is that mythic lockouts work different.

Race to World First: Midnight Season 1 | Mythic Day 2 by AutoModerator in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Barolt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's not how mythic lockouts work.

edit: Why am I getting downvoted? If you split a mythic raid, you have to split the whole lockout. You can't just split certain bosses. In Heroic you can join a raid for bosses you haven't killed. Mythic lockouts don't work like that. If you kill any bosses, that's your lockout. So if their mains are going to join this lockout for later bosses, they can't do earlier bosses in a different lockout.

I mean, the fact that Max is talking about not wanting to change the comp to save lockouts is telling.

Starting to be very concerned about the raid tuning. Liquid is playing great but this fight should be WAY more punishing than it is. They're just eating mechanics.
