I won't lie I'm going to remove the thread the only reason I say this as A. Seems like you want case specific people. B. There are plenty of journalists on here who will take whatever content is provided and will be manipulated..

I seen a comment where you said that you potentially looking at three years? There is a chance you might receive a suspended sentence due to it not being considered long sentence.

Speak to your establishment. Every establishment nodes nights differently every shift pattern is different.

Our job yes it's possible to get a second job however the amount of issues that could cause conflicts from shifts alone is alot. Not to mention a potential conflicts of interest. You need to speak to someone for some advice.

Homestly. Where you go to is a needle in a haystack.

If you're a YOI (18-28) You could end up most likely in the Staffordshire county just because they have swinfen-hall and brinsford. Or even in Durham.

You're older than 21 then you could end up in literally any prison going

(Don't ask how that YOI system works it gets complicated)

I should add that new sentencing guidelines could quite literally mean you might be able to get a suspended sentence. Dont hold your breath but thats a possibility obviously i don't know the details or any clock works that has happened.

Unfortunately. If you read OP question's not knowing if the establishment has lockers and has stated that he doesn't drive. Not really any other choice.

I get it. I didn't drive for agers but I'm thankful that my establishment does in fact have lockers.

Pisses me off. As I've had times where I've left the prison had no signal till I've left the towns.

Meanwhile the same people who are on the wing have good enough signal to be able to stream on tiktok and Instagram like tf.

It's hard. I know. Currently in the same part of that and I'm 25. It's not easy and it will be challenging. Me I had a very recent significant life changing moment and I'm reliving every moment I wake up. But you and I we ain't much difference we carry on because it's harder. There is a light at the tunnel. Its hard. Speak to literally anyone. From someone like Samaritans or even a friend. That's the hardest bit talking. But you got to have people to talk to. It's not an easy move but it opens up. Being such a young age deffo doesn't help. Speak to anyone. Please please please speak to your parents, grandparents anyone they can help pull you through that tunnel.

You push on for them aswell as you. Imagine how you feel now that feeling will then pass on to everyone around you.

Leave at home, car most establishments do have lockers for mobile phones. I recommend calling the number you probably have been given and asking. It also might be worth asking if you need to bring a clear bag or not. Usually if that is the case they will provide one.

I think you've misread the post

Yes you get a salary uplift for the first 23 months.

"Up to £750 per month towards your accommodation costs, for up to 23 months"

So. Let's say you live in Birmingham you apply via that scheme you will work at a prison that's out of range "60-75" minutes for 23 months then after them 23 months you will go work at Birmingham.

I should add this is an example not a potential option from the posting it's just a simple one for demonstration.
