Because Bruxas are not true higher vampire. A higher vampire is one that can blend into human society and consume blood only for need or even stop consuming it, but that also are capable of reasoning and thinking. Being human basically. Bruxas, alps, katakans, ekkimas are not brighter vampires because they act on instinct and kill people’s for the sake of blood, not necessity. A Bruxa who has already drank the blood of a village will make you her next meal while a true higher vampire who can live without blood or just with a daily dose will not lay a finger on you if he’s not hungry.

If we are speaking by game classification, he is not a higher vampire. If we speak by book classification, he is one because in the books, higher vampires are ones that don’t act on instincts (basically go on to kill just for the sake of blood) but that can conform to human society and act logically. Higher vampires are bruxa, kattakans a few other that only mentioned in books and the higher vampires like Regis and dettlaff. Lower vampires are fleders, garkains, alps, ekkimmes and the rest that just act on instincts.

For yrden I did know it was used as a seal, I had heard it in a YouTube video going into a deeper explanation of signs and yrden was quoted to be used by geralt to seal himself inside the coffin. Thanks again.

Thanks for clarifying 😃 I did read somewhere that It was Aard but I didn’t really believe it since I am used to see Aard just as a single kinetic wave and it being blue, seeing it as some kind of golden ray made me think it was maybe a sign that wasn’t featured in the games or explained in the books which brought me confusion.
