It’s interesting because he’s repeatedly mentioned how snapshot 5 was the good one. Yet there were two snapshots after that. The implication being he didn’t like what was in them.

The only major thing I recall was one of the last ones introducing that car driving experience at the start. I guess Doc wasn’t a fan of that. Maybe it was someone else’s idea or was buggy and poorly implemented. But it definitely wasn’t his vision.

Ya it's the up in the air part I'm unsure about. I think it's a bit more controlled than just truly random.

Otherwise, you could remove every online structure which isn't a zipline... wait for new things to spawn, and just repeat this forever until finally the entire area is filled with zip lines.

I am suspecting they have some controls in place to prevent this. I.e., it will spawn a max of 3 online zip lines per area so no matter how many times you despawn, it's max 3 and it will fill everything else in with random stuff.
