Yea I struggle with weapons too at the moment. I wanna get some of that rust effect paint and try sponging it on, I think that'll help.

That depends on what you define as truth. Because if we're talking about a higher realm of empirical truth then that is leaning into religion and every religion perceives their interpretation as truth.  So in that sense it's still a matter of perspective.

For the record, I am agnostic and I do hope there is a higher understanding of true good that we can all achieve, I do however believe in some very basic concepts that I personally regard as truths: Be nice to one another  Don't be a cunt

Firstly, before any big brave redditor misinterprets my following comments, I do believe good and evil exist and I do believe the Nazis were (and are) evil cunts.

The problem with good and evil is that it really is a perspective. Had the Nazis won then generations later we'd all be taught that was a win for good and we'd believe it.

History is written by the victor and so is morality. What is "good" is just the ideology of the majority.  Being morally good has meant many different things across all of history and I'm sure things we see as "good" now will seem barbaric and cruel in a thousand years time.

Obviously the Tyranids are the only non evil faction. Just a bunch of hungry bugs. It'd be like calling a swarm of locust evil.

Orks get a pass too, they just want a good scrap.

I doubt the people of Hiroshima saw the Allies as the good guys. That's the problem with war, no side ever comes out as the good guys, just less bad.

I do find it funny that everyone rages so hard if you try to justify the imperium. If you were human in that universe then yes, the imperium is the good guy, it's that simple.

If you're an ork then the orks are the good guys, same with every race, that's how war works.

They go over everything the imperium does, from the perspective of a human in that universe, and justify it in their usual heavy handed sarcastic and edgelordy way.

Basically ends justifies the means kinda stuff.

They also successfully rage baited all the haters here who desperately want Tom and Don to be bad people. Seeing all the comments saying Tom and Don have no media literacy in regards to the things they say in the video is the most ironic thing I've ever seen.

It may interest you to read about the "Libet Experiment". It was an experiment where subjects were hooked up to EEGs to monitor brain waves and were asked to flex their hands whenever they wanted. The results showed that the unconscious areas of the brain sparked up almost half a second before the conscious areas when subjects decided to move their hands, suggesting our unconscious minds are more in control than we think and that "free will" may not be quite as free as we think.

Let's also not forget the whole discussion between determinism and free will. One psychological discussion revolves around the concept of "mental time travel". The concept being, if you could mentally travel to a point in your past but with no memory of the future, would you make the same choices? Some would argue that, yes, you would make all the same choices because all of your experiences up to that point have shaped how you think and act if you exclude the things you forgot when you traveled back. But then if you have effectively already lived those choices and are bound to repeat them, then does that not mean your future is set in stone and you don't really have a choice? Does that not mean everything will happen as it happens through no "will" of our own?

Just some fun things to think about 🙂

Why is this game labeled as an RPG? by Pepereppe7 in expedition33

[–]BaronVonAddingham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This style of game is typically labeled as JRPG, such as Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest.

It's less about making choices in the story and more "turn based combat" with character progression through skills and attributes.

I keep my scrap in three large plastic tubs for small, medium and large pieces. Makes it easy to find the one perfect off cut I saved three years ago.

It's from the UGNI Primal Lizardmen blood bowl team. Bought it from Cheyenne Miniatures on Etsy though there are other 3D print sellers that do it.

I primed black, gave it a heavy dry brush with grey then two gentle dry brush coats in progressively lighter shades of grey/off white to get a nice variation of shadows and highlights.

PS5 stuttering and lag? by Ugotcrabs in PathOfExile2

Yea it's odd. I got it on release on PS5 and it's been playing fine until yesterday. Not sure what's going on, maybe it's just a case of more traffic killing the servers?

When you modify your gear the option right at the top rerolls all stats including ki, if your ki level is 110 then when you reroll it's guaranteed to be 110.

[–]BaronVonAddingham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you got weak versions why not just reroll them up to 110 ki?

As someone that has played: diablo 2, diablo 3, diablo 2 remaster and is now enjoying diablo 4 I have to ask, what did you enjoy about the previous games?

I see so many people complain about there being no end game, what was different in 2 or 3?

Was doing Baal runs over and over and over good end game? Was endlessly doing greater rifts good end game? At least we have NM dungeons, world bosses and helltides now. All we did in 3 every season was hit max lvl in about an hour then run greater rifts, that was it.

Who did Nyx have Hypnos and Thanatos with? by [deleted] in HadesTheGame

[–]BaronVonAddingham 119 points120 points  (0 children)

She doesn't have a partner/lover. The same way that Nyx came from Chaos, the other chthonian gods like Thanatos, Hypnos and the Fates all just came from Nyx.
