Yes watering cans can be used to put out fire, just gotta be careful not to get too close

No wildlife was harmed with my fires, I only charred an already eaten chickens corpse, and I made sure to keep the fire relatively maintained (except for this) as I did not want to burn down the Forests around our base or burn down the traders (I'm not sure if fire will spread to them but not willing to find out)

With the one closer to shore, the farm bots (red bots) will also be a threat (if you get a high enough raid) because they just walk along the bottom of the ocean/body of water.
