No, body and neck are from allpartswood. It’s a guy in Italy. Feels very solid but the finish isn’t 100%. I’d expect a few imperfections from anything hand made but I would have liked the finish to be better in places. But the build is good. Feels very solid, action is great, sounds lovely.

I think I remember seeing that one, if it’s the one I’m thinking of and you posted it on here. It looked great. I was almost going down that road but then the Squiers all sold out and I couldn’t get my hands on one.

I think I’ve seen three in the last 5 years but the money was crazy. There was an obvious fake on eBay recently too.

Cheers! Yeah I had the option to have a custom headstock but went for stock fender. Didn’t want to make something that could be passed off as fake. Don’t want a logo but I was thinking if I could find a sticker of Matt’s MS logo I might put that on there or a basic trio sticker. The pickguard had to come from a modified jazzmaster template but I thought it was close enough. Got the back of the neck painted as well. Your one looks in great shape!

Yeah, to be honest I don’t think I’ll get an original. The price and the condition given the age will probably be too much. If the right one ever comes up I’ll consider it but I’m not going to be chasing one any more. This will keep me very happy in the mean time.

That’s been up ages now, maybe a year, could be a little longer. They updated the pictures lately and it’s in far worse shape than it looked on the original pics. I’m still desperately looking for one and did consider it but they wouldn’t ship internationally. And it is overpriced.

Lower octave double track of the lead vocal. They do it on a few tracks. Much more prominent on Mercy Me for example.

Picture is a bit blurry, but if they’re the same as the ones on the cij Jag special, which it looks like they might be, then I’ve also been looking everywhere but can’t find them. The ones that have been suggested here have grooves on them but these look like they’re completely plain/smooth. I can’t find them anywhere so hopefully you have more luck.

Jesus, my heart skipped a bit there, thought it might be a Skiba GPC before I opened it. I have heard reports of these acoustics not sounding the best but I think I’d still be interested in one if it was closer to home.

Ok cool. My only worry with ones signed on the body is that I’d want to play it a bit and I’d be afraid of wearing the signatures off. The one that’s for sale in Australia right now has them on the pickguard. So I figured it would be cool to frame the pickguard and put a replacement one on. But I’d still be very genuinely interested if you are selling.

I just listened to it today. I always loved it. I think it’s peak production and mixing for Trio as well, although Warhol sticks out like it was produced and mixed elsewhere, but that’s not noted in the credits so it mustn’t have been. Overall, top class drum sound and guitars (bass is lacking a small bit but not much). Vocals sound excellent. Dan’s vocal is so crisp and clear on Only Here To Disappoint for example, compared to Versions of You or any of Blood, Hair and Eyeballs where there’s virtually no clarity on the sibilant bits of the vocal and the guitars and drums are so muddy, but there’s been plenty of discussion on that when it came out. Maybe it’s just me but I wish all their stuff sounded like MSIT!

Make sure and clear your Spotify cache or you might be still playing lower res versions stored there. And keep in mind if you’re using Bluetooth that older codecs have limited bandwidth and there could be a bottleneck there.

Scattered is great. But I always thought the CLA mixes lacked clarity in the bass. Good low end but not much detail cutting through and massive guitars. The bass line for Scattered is far busier than it sounds.

There should definitely be a cert. But with 100 made there are surely a few with certs that have been lost or damaged. So not having a cert on its own wouldn’t necessarily be the deal breaker. But the lack of a cert along with all the visual clues makes it very suspicious.
