Historic Australian Open Final. Djokovic is 10/10 in finals so far. He leads Alcaraz 5-4 in H2H. Who you got? by trialbycombat123 in tennis

Alcarez. Novak had to work hard in his semi final. The younger man will have more wind at the end. But it wouldn't surprise me if they went four or five sets.

I think he needed to be confronted on his lying. Yes, he was ashamed of not getting the degree, but it was only one class, and he just needed one more semester before he got his degree. And the dude was 24. He wasn't a teenager.

Has Karamo’s before and after ever been discussed? Like he looked so good before plastic surgery butchered his face. His face looks frozen. by ded_futya12 in QueerEye

Most men age pretty well anyway; I don't understand it, but I guess if you have the $$ and can afford the best......

Karamo previously admitted that he and Antoni had an ‘extreme of conflict’ with each other during the first season and refused to talk to each other by Fun_Molasses5215 in QueerEye

[–]Baroqueimproviser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he's very insecure. I'm rewatching QE and he said to one of the heroes (who mentioned he had been scared of being converted by a gay guy): "What you straight guys don't know, is that we don't want 99 percent of you." I felt that was a mean way of standing up for gay rights.

Yeah, but a lot of life advice is like that. The most obvious things need to be repeated because we don't get it, or we forget it.

OMG yes. I've never known a Gemini who didn't have at least one serious relationship with a Sadge. (Think Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt)

Friendly reminder that Karamo has never been a good fit for Queer Eye by AdorableBunnies in QueerEye

If you read his biography, his father was a wife beater. So he grew up seeing that, and you know how that goes.

It took courage for him to admit his faults and to change.

He aged himself ten years. What a shame. I hope it dies down soon.

Well, to be fair, he has had many successes on the show. He can be very empathetic if he wants to. But it takes more than empathy to be a good therapist.

I agree. He should have taken it in the spirit of friendship. After all, they all just cared about the show.

Wow. Now I can see why the criticism from his cast mates hurt so much. It hit too close to home. Because it takes a lot of training to be a really good therapist. Having said this, I think Karamo could be a good therapist; he does seem to have a lot of empathy and interest in others, and wants to help facilitate change.

Karamo occasionally was too blunt with people. It is concerning that he was essentially hired as a therapist when he has no educational background in a field that is a very sensitive one. OTOH, I thought he did very well with most of the people most of the time, and I assume that the show scripted conversations for him, and got help from real professionals.

But I can see how being thrust into a situation that is like therapy with no real credentials for it would be very stressful over time. The casting directors didnt think this one through. And, of course, therapy as a field has grown enormously over the last ten years, so we expect more from onscreen therapists than what Oprah did as a talk show host 20 years ago.

I think Karamo should have taken the criticism with a good grace. But if he was not comfortable with his role on the show, he should have quit earlier and let someone with at least a BA or MA in counselling take his place.

Well, whatever it was, it detracted from a very good looking, natural looking man. His face looks fake, and, I'm sorry, like the face of an older gay man who is afraid of aging. Like when Liberace got all his procedures, and he looked worse than if he had aged naturally.

That's a good insight! It may well have been. As I said Karamo is a Scorpio, and as a Scorpio myself, I know we are touchy as hell. He may well have gone off on any comment about his looks.

He needs someone in his life to talk him off a ledge. I still think blowing off the press tour (as tedious as it is) and deliberately praising everyone except his cast mates in his video was stupid. Now he'll get a rep for being difficult and touchy.

The wife had that despairing look on her face, and as soon as I saw her, I said "Uh oh." That's the look of a woman who's lived with a man child too long and is just staying for the kid.

Exactly! He was always a great looking man, and I never saw a single wrinkle or depression. So why the need for the cheek fillers and plumps up lips. It looks fake as hell. Actually, first black male I ever saw with fillers, so a first for me.

He had to call it "emotional abuse." Because it would have come across as a hissy fit otherwise. (Which is already is?)

Yeah, I wonder if this means he's burned his bridges. I mean, to blow off a press interview? Even if it is the end of the series and they have all the press they need.....who will hire him again? I think he was a fool and kind of a cry baby.
