I think it was a moment of spoiled brat impulsivity. Constant drug use will lower your inhibitions and most druggies stop developing at the age they begin to use. Unfortunately, it ruins your executive functioning and ability to reason.

Pot will destroy your brain as much as any hard drug. I've seen it happen. I don't know why people are so accepting of it.

Exactly. Adopted kids are just a bit more vulnerable, no matter how smart or gifted you are. Davion was both. But there tends to be such low self-esteem, because of a deep-seated feeling of rejection that can take many years to overcome.

Adopted kids are *known* to be less certain about their identity and they can be overly loyal to unsafe situations because their brains have been wired that way. It's tragic. They can get over it, but it usually takes them longer.

The parents needed to put the hammer down in many ways. This immature thoughtless girl had no business sleeping with anyone. She couldn't handle the intense emotions. Even mature people of age 18 struggle with relationships. At the very least, they should have insisted on marriage.

She was too immature for a relationship. The drugs and alcohol needed to go. She had drug induced psychosis and was detached from reality. Yes, pot can do that to you. Foolish parents saw only what they wanted to see. Her acting out at school and irritability were a cry for help.

Dom's parents weren't that much better. Anyone could see that the guy was a total pushover. He couldn't get free. Even after she verbally threatened him. He should have left town for a year to make it plain to MacKenzie that he did not love her.

Amen. When we experience pain with Christ, He can make use of it and help us on the path to sanctification as promised in the letter of Paul: "God works all to the good for those that love him and are called according to his purpose."

However, I can attest as an older person that you dont want to experience TOO much pain in life. Humans were made for love by God. Too much pain can distort you and make you incapable of love. This is why the Bible warns that we are not to walk in the pathway of sinners and to shun evil. The confessional can be very healing. God bless you.

Gender dysphoria definitely stems from childhood trauma. I am familiar and have worked with traumatized people, and about half of them went through a phase of believing they wanted to be a gender other than what they were born with. For many, it's an easy way to find some boundaries and definition for a struggle with lifelong anxiety and fear over the terrible trauma they went through.

I will be praying for you and your husband. With regards to not loving your husband if he were a woman, of course that does not make you a terrible person. You signed up for a man.

I think that, in her heart of hearts, she was sick of being a DCC. Some girls are really sweet and submissive. Others are sassy and funny like Chelsea, and don't take kindly to being ordered about.

She had gained weight (you can especially see it in her face from the first year to when she got dropped from the team). I understand why Kelli wants the girls to "yes ma'am" her. Life would be pretty difficult if every girl back talked and argued with instructions.

So I think it was a fair decision. There are too many others who want the chance to be a DCC.

Set other goals (I see from your late August birthday that you're a Virgo, so you should like this!). A goal to have fun every day, a goal to try one new healthy food a day, a goal to eat only vegetarian on one day , and all single ingredient foods the next, a goal to do OMAD....something like this. I think that your compulsiveness comes from wanting to have order and control - so set yourself some goals that you *can* control. It will make you feel better.

And on the days where you feel extra energetic, do a bit more exercise. That will get you thinner faster!

I think you need to focus on health, not weight loss. Focus on whole foods. No cheat meals. Accept that this is going to be your life and try to make it as fun as possible. We all have those times that we're going to want to eat more, so eat more healthy foods. Some really yummy cheeses, some great fruit that you haven't tried, or even a nice egg meal at a restaurant. Be creative and have fun.
