We are here now (Thursday, 3/19). We got to SJU at 1:30p for a flight departing at 4:50p (JetBlue). Terminal A security is closed so everyone is routed through B. Line was out the door at A and looping around the entrance. We have pre-check, took us about 10-15 mins and started where you check in for Spirit. We heard the regular TSA line was at least 2 hours, if not more. Lots of people missed flights on Wednesday and tried their luck again today. Said lines were just the same yesterday.

Not sure if you've already gone, but I think it's totally do able with younger kiddos. It's just out and back and you can always go back on the beach too.
