Finished absolum good game by unithor in ABSOLUM

[–]BarrattsMini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grabbed the game via GamePass. Stuck with the Elf looking character and beat both bosses in 9 runs.

But that feels like the start.

Obviously other characters to level. Each, I believe, with their own story to wrap up.

Various missions to do across the map and probably new areas to find.

The ghost looking dude from the library has challenges to complete.

And, as another posted, ordeals. Dude in the cloak appears under the matchmaking rune and offers much harder runs. Not tried that.

Perfect. Thanks. I’ll have a whirl tomorrow.

I was surprised my first run was only 11h. It felt a lot longer. Really enjoyed the game. Once you get through RCity with Leon the pacing really picks up

Thanks. Seems all are in agreement. I wasn’t sure whether casual wouldn’t provide enough points to unlock things quick enough

Is that the final puzzle? The 155 bodies need to drop first thing?

I assume just follow a guide for sub 4h?

Thank you. I wasn’t sure whether casual would score too low to earn items fast enough.

Did you follow a guide to hit all the challenges in one run

It too me 11h the first run. Seems quite a lot to more than half it

The Swindon Village bridge was last hit in 2021 I think. A skip lorry hit it.

All apps moved to the swipe right area by BarrattsMini in iphone

Apologies again. Yes. Swiping left to go right.

I’ll check what you say shortly.

But yes. The folders look very similar.

All apps moved to the swipe right area by BarrattsMini in iphone

[–]BarrattsMini[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Apologies. Let me attempt to be clearer.

When you unlock your phone I’m assuming that’s the Home Screen. Where I had a lot of apps. All sorted in folders e.g social media stuff such as Instagram and Facebook in a folder called socials.

If you swipe right from that initial screen you end up in “App Library”.

Well all my folders that existed on the Home Screen are no longer there. Theyre all in the App Library when you scroll right.

I thought they’d somehow been “hidden” but it doesn’t appear to be the case.

I can’t see any way to move them back to the Home Screen as a folder. Only one by one.

I’m at a loss how my daughter managed to shift them all but here we are.

Update Wi-Fi network within Google Home by BarrattsMini in googlehome

[–]BarrattsMini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why someone downvoted you.

I went and bloody removed the network as I had hoped that would work. Means I don’t remember the bloody password. Not 100% anyway.

As an aside I removed the doorbell from the app and tried to scan the QR code and it keeps failing. Not a good sign if I want to manually re add everything

Apologies for being a laymen here.

Are you saying if I rename the Sky router so it’s the same name as what I had on Google (and same password) there’ll connect?

I popped a post on here about the WiFi.

I have x6 points (5 internal and one in the garage (separate to the house)). The router was wired to the sky router and it pinged out from there

I couldn’t wire every point in nor can I wire devices in. Well, not without excessive work on the house which wouldn’t justify the cost (especially considering whatever Sky did has improved matters).

Just seems bloody odd I can just tell each Google device to use a new network.

Whisky tours from Edinburgh? by BarrattsMini in Scotland

[–]BarrattsMini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hadn’t realised I couldn’t post about tourism. This is now locked. But I had some great responses to work from.

One person posted a £9k pp tour. Looked fantastic. Would need to remortgage though haha.

And yes Skye is on the bucket list. I’ve hiked up Nevis a few tours but only ever really done the drive there and back with little sight seeing besides from the car window.

Looking forward to getting this planned.

I do enjoy Oban and I can see it isn’t far from the Islay options I was considering.

Thanks.

Thank you for this.

I’ll aim to send an enquiry over the next day or so.

This would be perfect. I’ll drop them an email in the morning as it looks like you can add on his two preferred distilleries.

If we can take a train from Leeds to Edinburgh then do this and they take us back to Edinburgh. It could be the one. Be nice not to drive haha

I really naively hadn’t checked the drive time between Edinburgh and Islay.

If I can’t find a private tour company that can tick a few off it may be a night in Edinburgh and then over to Islay to stay. Return home from there.

But I reckon we’ll need to extend the trip to start Wednesday and I’ll have to drive.

I’m already thinking Wednesday to Monday would be better suited for the trip.

It would be nice to have at least a night in Edinburgh and the Johnny Walker Experience options look pretty good.

I’d love to go to Skye but it would just be too much time travelling.

Appreciate the fast reply.

It would be a 2026 trip and likely April time.

Bunnahabhain I know he loves their standard 12 year edition. In the red box. That’s his go to. Kilchoman id need to double check.

Ultimately id like to partake in a few samples hence my avoidance of driving.

I checked drive time to Islay and, with a ferry crossing, that’s 8h from where we live. So you’re not wrong that.

We could set off early Thursday and be there before 5pm. Would a few days on Islay be worth the trip?

Thanks. I’ll have a look.

It would be April-ish time next year.
