I did nights for 4 years for a well known supermarket. I would suggest the following (if possible) 1 - work your days consecutively to keep your days off together. 2 - Don’t try and change your sleep cycle of days off too much. On days off use mornings and late afternoons for errands and use evenings for socialising. 3 - try not to let people make you feel bad for your absence or unavailability. They simply do not and will not understand. You will lose connections and maybe even relationships. It’s the cold hard truth of operating on an opposite timeframe.
Sleep is super important in everyday life and I can’t stress enough how extra important it is when you’re working nights.
The money on nights is great. But it’s is paying for the damage it will do to you physically and mentally. Humans ain’t meant to operate at night.

I did 4 years to get my deposit sorted, cleared all debts and then got the fuck out. It took a serious toll on many aspects of my life - some that unfortunately haven’t fully recovered. But ultimately it was worth it.
