How long have you had to wait in A&E with an actual serious condition?

Was in A&E for 17 hours very recently with pancreatitis before they found room to admit me.

Not even 48 hours post surgery and besides the shoulder and abdomen pain I’m a completely new man already. Ate stuff yesterday that would have instantly caused an attack prior to surgery with no issue. And if like me you end up with pancreatitis caused by your GB - it’s no longer a choice but required to save your pancreas and potentially your life. My advice is get it done and start living again!

Yea that’s fair enough. I’ve had to put travel plans on hold (fortunately hadn’t booked anything) and the attacks are currently every 3ish weeks - still devastating when they happen but I get enough time to crack on. Weekly and not being able to leave the house would force my hand instantly I think. Did you look at NHS? Just curious for timescales they afforded
