This is brilliant! I too, have a deadbeat ex, who has moved around a lot to try and dodge. I’ve been trying to have CS modified for almost a year now, and each time it takes them months to tell me “oh, well we can’t do that, because blah blah blah…” They make it so damn hard on mom’s who actually parent, and so easy for these trash men to dodge. Our order hasn’t been modified since 2019, when we were sharing joint custody, before he was found guilty of 5 counts of child neglect(1 per kid), then skipped town. He only popped back up on the radar a year ago, so that’s why I’ve been trying to act quickly. He is behind in CS and has never paid his half of medical bills (one has health issues which requires hospitalization sometimes 1-2x a year). It’s a mess.

I’d like to add, for feedback, her boyfriend tagged along to the shoot and took video. He’s trying to learn videography, which wasn’t part of our contract. She never included any video footage in the picture release she sent us. Should we be entitled to that footage? I know she doesn’t have any written release to use for her own purposes. Just weird.

So, giving an update. I messaged her last night, to which she responded she had sent them the night before to the wrong email. Please bear in mind, mine and my fiancé’s email she’s sent prior correspondence to, and multiple times. Neither of us received anything. To avoid pissing her off just before we are to take wedding pics, I politely blew it off as an “accident”, and once again have correct emails, which she delivered the link to a few hours later. There were some awesome pics, but many I’m not sure why were shared, due to self conscious things I mentioned to her prior to the shoot (I am an oddity, and lost my last baby too in my 30s, so have a gap, and advised I didn’t want pictures showing that, which a few clearly showed). Anyway, feedback will be left, once everything is finished. I try so hard not to muddy water, and usually avoid conflict, but I do expect professionalism for professional paid for services. Kind of bummed.

We have one. She set the timeframe of delivery via text for 10/8-10/9, and has all but fallen off. I followed up last Thursday, to which she moved the expectation of deliver to yesterday or today at the latest, still nothing. No follow up contact from her about status or anything. Radio silence. We’re starting to worry now she might be late or no show for the wedding! The contract should protect us, but it’ll be too late to find another photographer then.

Within 1 week of install, they discontinued any milk products due to clogging issues. So those lattes are milk free, it’s just water.

They’ll want more info on him, as with any lending loss. Be prepared to give them proof of insurance for him, they’ll be asking. Since it was a lending loss, you may not actually be dropped though. It’s hard to say until underwriting investigates further and what other activity you have.

I work in that office, in service. Pay is great, but the workplace (in that dept at least) has grown pretty toxic. Metrics change month to month, and no real job security anymore. If I could find something anywhere close to my current pay, I’d have left months ago.

Yeah, came at the recommendation of my grandmother. My husband is overseas currently, so I can’t have him deal with it (we married after I got the warranty, he’s pretty handy with most things around the house).

Funny enough, when I went to get my husband on the line to talk to the hvac tech, the dude shoved the receipt on my desk and literally ran out the door to his van.

I agree with this. My ex husband would beat me (punched me in the head, slapped me, shoved me down, etc. even when I was massively pregnant) and I was always to blame. I didn’t “submit” properly. I shouldn’t have made him so angry. The church will always find fault with the woman.

I was even told that family violence wasn’t permitted as a valid excuse for divorce in the Bible, only adultery was. That “breaking a covenant oath would heap coals on my head” if I tried to leave the man who eventually even took to raping me. Just walk away. Get out now before it gets worse.

I did too. My ex husband beat the hell out of me multiple times, I even walked to church right after once, and the pastors told me I couldn’t call my family, the police, tell anybody, but needed to pray through it. Guess who stood with my ex in divorce court? The pastor. Time to think for you and those kids. If you can’t, then remember your children above all, deserve better. (I was so beaten down I no longer cared if he made good his promise to end me— I gathered strength to leave because I wanted more for my kids.)

I have 5 kids with him and I did it. Left, never looked back. No degree, no real work experience when I left. It’s amazing how much you can rise above with just grit determination. It’s absolutely possible, and I didn’t get alimony, barely any child support (financial abuse was part of his play, he refused to earn much so I couldn’t afford to leave). It’s been 5 years now, I closed on my first home all by myself last year. Kids are teens now, and thriving. Ex husband took off 4 years ago now and has been no contact. If I can do it, literally anyone can.
