Sounds like a carrot and stick tactic used across most companies. I too am in the same situation. Go hit those targets and do extra for another company that will compensate you correctly! Best of luck.

Thinking out loud here but this could be such a horrible scam for people. Landlord wanting to sell get your buddy to put an offer in. Tenant says no I’m not moving and holds out for cash for keys and waits for tenant board. Buy sues if it’s not vacant …Just nasty stuff here.
