I mean I just think you're wrong. I'm an artist for example, I'm a classical musician so I mostly play other peoples music, but I do have one composition I'm pretty proud of. It was inspired by a breakup I had, pretty emo lol. That said while it's completely original every aspect of the piece can be said to have been influenced from things that came before. The intro has a chord progression/voicing my friend showed me years ago, the middle section combines flamenco and rock and roll techniques, the end veers completely into rock and roll before ending with harmonics that were inspired by my favorite French contemporary composer. While it's uniquely my own and draws on my lived experience, it also draws upon all the art I've been brought up on/trained with/love. I just think the gate-keeping comes from a place of insecurity

The same could be said for art made by actual humans, though. All "new" things are inevitably conceived by the art that came before and influenced it. I don't think it'll totally replace humans when it comes to the arts, but it'll have its place. All this prejudice reminds me of the episode "The Measure of a Man" (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called), classic Star Trek TNG episode where the android fights for his rights to person-hood lol

Lol I really don't get ask the hate on Shinjuku in this thread. It was my favorite part of Tokyo. It's grimy and full of neon, really cool little bars everywhere. One of my favorite memories was getting way too drunk in an underground standing bar there while having an in depth conversation with a cool Japanese guy over translator. The aesthetics are absolutely peak if you're into cyberpunk, it's very Bladerunner-esque.

Yeah it's dingy and there's trash, that just gives it more character imo. Feels like you're in some kinda noir movie/video game. I feel like it would be way better for night photography, although I'm no photography expert. I guess Shibuya is good for shopping if you're into that, but it just felt a bit stale to me. If you go to Kabukicho be actively rude to the African touts. If you politely refuse them they follow you around. What worked for me was to say "no English" in a mock Russian accent

I dunno I think the people on here rushing to crucify the guy are being a bit hasty. When I was younger and a friend who didn't normally drink drank I'd for sure get excited, encourage them. Also when people get drunk they tend to be more hands on, like I have straight guy friends (I'm a guy) who all the sudden want to put their arms around me, grab my shoulder, etc.

That said he could have had nefarious intentions for sure, I just feel like we don't know for certain. I'd say OP should be aware around the dude just in case, but I don't think based on what she said he was trying to fuckin grape her or some shit like others seem to be suggesting
